Amazon offered a refund.....rather have the package. Hope it's still in one piece!

Not to mention the prices.

I sent out a small flat rate box, even with a discount through eBay (?) it was $11 plus!

It's not just USPS. Tracking an order from the neighboring State Portland OR, 1.5 hours driving distance from home, the UPS package went to to The East Coast and basically toured the US before I got it 2 weeks later. I wasn't in a hurry so I just enjoyed the comedy of it.

Use Pirate Ship saves everyone some money. It's free and you can weigh it and measure it then print the label from home...

Horrid business plan, failed govt bureaucracy...
Seems the packages just go along for the ride if it's a few packages
or just 1 to a single delivery, they go all over the nation's shipping hubs,
till it winds up on a truck or plane that's going somewhere close
especially from rural shipping areas
until;
they finally wind up at their designated locations, crazy to have to do that stuff,
for weeks at a time, handling it several times thru several shipping hubs
far, far away (makes no good sense, or financially)
needs streamlining for sure, been that way for too long...

Same **** your daily mail goes thru too
should have local & out of county or out of state
not everything in one bunch, going to a shipping hub if it not far away
selective sorting could cut down on tones of the ****
I send something/letter or check to a Bus. in Sonora,
12 miles away local US Post Office,
it then 1st goes to 150-175 miles + to Sacramento shipping hub,
on a truck, then back on a truck to Sonora PO, then on a truck/Jeep again
back to the Bus. in Sonora... :realcrazy:

stupid idiotic logistics really
for a company/govt. entity, that's been in business/existence for almost 200 years

Can't be a frugal business model, cuts into fuel cost & labor,
big time every time it's handled
to keep handling the packages in several locations, several hub on & off trucks or planes or vans,
not to speak of the damages, from personnel mishandling, it could/or gets in the shuffle :realcrazy:

Congress should/could get it done, fix that govt. agencies problems
they've talked about it enough, maybe save US billions in taxpayers funding
albeit they'd probably mess it up even more & be a fight on the floors
:poke:
not political just the facts
