Vehicle starts and idles but stalls after warm and put in gear. Any ideas ?

Yes it is

Does it have an EGR valve? If so, disconnect the vacuum hose from it an plug the hose then see if it still does it. If not, bad EGR. EGR valves can test good but be bad from a weak spring. This is the only way I've tested them that I know for sure. N it's quick n simple.

Sometime s this happens when your torque converter goes bad
I expect it to be a vacuum leak Bad gas or bad ground or no accelerator pump

Hi thanks - can’t find a vacuum leak gas is new tank has been cleaned and lines replaced and the accel pump seems to be good. I’m wondering about that torque converter though - how can I tell if that’s the problem ?

Could be bad gas as Moparguy said. How old is the gas? It will run and rev but idle wants to stall.

Simple thing to check - carb to intake bolts. Make sure they're tight.

Very low initial timing can do that also

hi thanks - new gas - behaved same before and after removing and cleaning tank and replacing fuel lines

Another problem I had was adjustment - ultimately the curb idle was too low.
