Wow, that is horrible! Not to make you feel any worse but I hate to see anything that they may have done on the body "let's hope not".

I kinda like the car. If it were me, I'd make the interior comfortable, rewire the exterior lighting, get rid of the plexiglass, Mock up some fake wipers for inspection and drive it.

X2

I think I would make some front bars to pick up the top of the shock mount area. Gonna be a lot of work/parts chasing to put that one back stock.

I bought most all the parts to convert to stock

Wow...You got your hands full. Think I would rather deal with a half rotten car than that. Definitely rebuildable though. Good luck on your build.

if it was mine, (which i wouldnt mind) I would race the guts out of it, why not?

holy mackerel!! is that over spray on the speedo, or did they mean to do that?? lol

honestly, i think you have a pretty damn solid starting point..good luck!!

:happy1:

It really does not look that bad. If it's solid, good frame rails, to me would be easier to put it back together with stock parts, then deal with lots of rust and body issues. Bodywork is not my thing...

Somebody sure took advantage of using shortcuts.

Ball valve handle for the window crank- that's a first! Looks pretty solid, good luck!!

Looks to be in pretty good shape to start with minus the alterations.
But maybe you should keep the carpet.......it feels good on bare feet!!!

there's been worse restored. love the color. good luck and keep the pics comming!

Ahmen!

I thinks its fine! looks good to me! a lot of folks are getting to used to getting cars that I think are showboats and then writing a big ole check for a restoration and calling it done.....I buy dead junkers and hope to get them running one day LOL ...moral of the story at least you got yourself a toy & I for one like it... check out my mess (suppose to be '69 superbee) if you need some inspiration...
