Went up on the roof of the shop to check on my carpet that I planted last year. Just kidding. Looks like a new roof is in the works this spring. My neighbor came by and offered to take the ladder down while I was still on the roof. Gee thanks.
Think I would have said something like...."let me get on it first and then you can direct the fall towards your car"Went up on the roof of the shop to check on my carpet that I planted last year. Squirrels did so much damage in grain storage buildings, farmers hated them. My father said if you see one it should be gone shortly. Wooden siding seemed to be delicious for them to chew through.Have a neighbor with an atrium in the middle of his house and the squirrels give him hell. So far the squirrels like me but maybe it's becaus I feed the rascals lol? I try to keep them away from him because he shoots them....
I can understand that.....Squirrels did so much damage in grain storage buildings, farmers hated them. My father said if you see one it should be gone shortly. Wooden siding seemed to be delicious for them to chew through.
There was a very happy vixen to find dead squirrels by our cabin.
Man, those things seem to be expensive to buy......?Installed a pellet stove in the new outbuilding yesterday. It should make it nice & cosy in there once everything is closed in. Still have to finish wiring and insulating before I can put the OSB up for the walls. I just ran the stove today to make sure everything works as it should, and to burn off all that new stove residue. I also reprogrammed the operational parameters of the unit for a cleaner more efficient burn before lighting it off. This was based on my prior experience with the pellet stove that I installed in the house. It ran fine right out of the box, but after I tweaked it and made a few fine adjustments, it ran even better.

This one is relatively cheap compared to most, especially given the output in terms of sq ft heating capabilities, and the ease of maintenance. There are cheaper units to be sure, but they're cheaper for a reason. In my opinion, this one provided the best bang for the buck, and came in at a little under $1600. The pretty one that my wife liked was closer to $6000Man, those things seem to be expensive to buy......?
Yeah, I looked at wood stoves etc years ago when the gas company started being an ahole about me being a seasonal customer. They pulled the meter and I sold the gas furnace that was in the shop. Nowadays I use electric space heaters wherever I'm working and propane when the temps get around 30 out. During that hard freeze we had in Feb of 21 that propane heater sure was a butt saver after the electricity went down and spent a good deal of time outside helping a neighbor fix some busted outside pipes. My generator ran an oil filled heater in the house along with a fridge and freezer and that helped a lot in there....This one is relatively cheap compared to most, especially given the output in terms of sq ft heating capabilities, and the ease of maintenance.
