What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

my desk looks like a post-it dispenser exploded

Did spring maintenance on the lawn tractor. Changed oil and filter, air filter, and sharpened the blades. Kawasaki engine takes 2.2 quarts. I hate measuring out 6.5 ounces of oil.

Sorting NOS & a few demos/golf equipment/clubs, from my stash
old inventory, I need to move, just a sampling

golf clubs faiway wood & drivers NOS & Demos 001.JPG

golf clubs faiway wood & drivers NOS & Demos 002.JPG

I may be listing some of the stuff here
in Other Stuff or wanted, classified sections

golf clubs iron sets & putters 001.JPG

graphite or steel RH & LH a few seniors flexes
or wedges & some full sets, in steal or Rocket Shafts
many are 3-PW, SW, LB in reg. firm shafts to stiff shafts, with active tips
forged heads or vacuum cast, so they can be fitted
& bent for loft & lie angles/custom sets

they were a tad pricey, a few years ago
going to be "CHEAP" now
I think I may donate a bunch of them, to the local school's 'golf teams'
If they want them

make it quick & easy, with fewer hassles

have quite a few old personal putters & other drivers & fairway woods
demo clubs & 1 offs, from my old golf shop, Albatross Golf Gear
these are a small sampling

a bunch of them I just took out of a Golf Club/9 hole Course Pro-Shop
up here, that was on consignment, they got 30%
it was put under new management, so I removed my inventory
the new management may want some, I may strike a new deal with them
I got a feeling they are getting out of pro-shop sales
They said;
"they want to do a 1 man show, starter in the pro-shop
no more sales, except balls & tees"

Shipping costs are so high now,
I'll probably mostly gift them to someone
that wants to pay the shipping
or donate them to a school etc.

I don't do that stuff much now, more of a hobby now, than an income

This is not a sales pitch
"just telling youz guyz what I'm doing today"
I have more of this stuff than I remembered

Enjoy...

I didn't work on my car today.....but I did get a video clip of my buddy's Valiant that he has almost completed piecing together after about 5 years. Engine bay was painted and freshened up about 3 years ago.....engine is the same one that we ran up on a strop hanging off the forklift truck a few years ago.....some new internals....nothing fancy. Runs really sweet and quiet now. Exhaust shop is booked for Wednesday...so hopefully it will be screaming around the streets soon.

In case you missed our engine video a few years ago......

BTW.... @khryslerkid ....we removed that ugly bolt from the front of the dampener.

I bought a bag of Zinia flower seeds and potting mix and planted around the sunny side of the Mulberry tree. Landscapers are coming the first week of May to build paths and plant gardens out back.

that looks like me, my nephew Keith & Darren from next door :D

actually, I'm still a relatively good golfer, single-digit handicap
I was really good at one time :p pretty much a scratch golfer
in my 30's & 40's
I just don't do it much now, I also don't live in a Gated Golf community
with 2 championship golf courses/country club out my backdoor
(for 10+ years, twice) or own a pro-shop anymore either

As I got older, life, racing & work (budget putting kids thru school)
all got in the way more...

Now I'm retired & I don't have the work or have a racing problem,
empty nest, but I don't golf much...
go figure :poke:

Bought another 1250 Bandit late last year and I've been undoing some "used Mopar" style wiring in it and fine tuning the suspension etc. Final test ride today, all is set the way I like it and I'm ready for the season.

I forgot something on my list of mower repairs.
...and it let loose Saturday.
The bracket that holds the deck height pivot had broken a few years ago and I welded it back together.
It broke again, and rather than weld it again, I bought an angle bracket at Lowes, in a slightly thicker gauge and modified it to work.
I did this at my shop, and I had taken the band saw home for another project.
I tried using the plasma cutter and it worked, but I clogged the tip.
Now I have another project.
Had to go home and get the band saw, and while I was loading it back up, one of the trusses that hold the (flimsy ***) legs apart broke.
Now I have another project.
This all started because the rear tire that is OEM to the mower was flat, and I was taking it to the shop to see why.
Didn't get that done, so I still have that project.

Emptied the forkin trailer that I filled from the basement back in October. Forgot all about it... Now the Wife can wash all the toys...

Decided it was the end of an era today. I've spent exactly half my life (30 years) and a month working at this table building new airplanes from scratch and repairing the misfortunes of others, but it's time! Now if I can just roll it up into a trailer so I can move it to the hangar it'll be there if I need it. Didn't even unload the lower level. Now I just need to move all the sheet stock to a marine container and then I think I have another parking space. I'll get to cleaning up the next garage door bay in the Fall, don't have time for all that right now!

Let my granddaughter work on my car this morning, lol.
She has some small speaking issues from birth but is coming around great.
She is car crazy, when my son and daughter-in-law picked them up she ran to them with a wrench and yelled “fix papa GTX”
Putting 3 words together was a joy for us to hear her say

All the money in the world can't buy great memories like this!

Finally got the old man to come over and help me cut and install doors in the basement. Now the hard work, gonna wire brush, shellac, gel stain, then poly the doors and 300' of trim. Then I have to build the barn door for my daughters room. My old man brought me some 30 year old white oak cut on his buddies band sawmill
