...worked on someone else’s car. An acquaintance does rear end housings, and we brought a friends 9” to get the perches right. Then he gave me these 2 models, ‘69 A12 Super Bee and ‘69 Charger R/T. He laughed as he said he was downsizing...

Well I meant to work on my car today but it never happened. Spent the morning picking up trash on the side of the road for the city, we do this 2 to 3 times a year. When I get home the wife says we have no water. Went and checked the water meter and noticed that area was soaked. Neighbor comes over and said it was shooting out of the ground and he shut off the meter. Dug the area up and found a pieced together mess. The threaded fitting was split due to the stress of the angle over time. Two trips to the hardware store and we have water again.
Maybe I will work on the car tomorrow.

Well, a couple of nights ago we went with a few friends out for a meal at a relatively new Smoked Meat Restaurant. They allegedly have the biggest smoker in New Zealand, and the reputation is growing. I had seen the menu prior, and wondered if the prices were a bit steep given the portion sizes....but once it comes out onto the table, you realise how good it is, and it does get filling. It also helps to have a few good beers along for the ride.

I also grabbed some take-out for my elder son who couldn't make it along.....had some nice sandwiches with warmed up smoked brisket yesterday.
Smoked meats, beers and shenanigans......a great evening....

No delivery service, but you can order a take-out - self collect.
It was delicious......melt in your mouth delicious.
