Unlocked the front hubs on my old 1st gen Cummins Crewcab since the roads are getting decent...been locked in since last October.

Well. My son sold his VW pickup finally. This is what he bought. 60 Ventura
He purchased on thursday we went and retrieved it brought it home.
Kind of nice seeing him get away from those little **** boxes. Not mopar but I would even own this one

Wife was in Vegas last night and today, and older son was busy with friends, so last night I took my youngest to a Dodger game, and today after his own game, took him to a cool arcade place where you pay $25 and all arcade games are free and you play whatever you want with no need to insert money.
That's cool.
There's a "vintage arcade" in a strip mall near me but I haven't gone in to see what it really is yet.
If it's like that, I'd give them some cash for a bit of time with my "old flames".

I was nuts about cars long before 63 but that's when I got my first 'quick' ride. The car belonged to my cousin and his wife just happened to be visiting her mom in law next door and was about to make a run to the post office when I walked out and saw her. She was a bomb shell too. Anyways, asked her what was up and she said where she was going and asked me if I wanted to go with her. Heck yeah. Right off the bat she skipped short shifted to 3rd (with a 4 speed) and just said no way....do it right lol. She slowed back down, stuck it in 1'st and nailed it and rowed through the gears. Wow, you CAN drive! The car was a 62 Pontiac Cat with tri-power 389. I was 12 at the time. Those cars still have a soft spot but have never been able to find a nice one that wasn't beat to death.
If they had a time limit I'd hope it would be more than an hour but how long would it take to feed 25 bucks worth of quarters? I would imaging that games are a buck or more to play now? My game was pin ball but didn't play the money machines much if I could help it. When I lived in the city (40k population) iirc, it was 10c but moved out into the middle of nowhere in 63 where there just wasn't anyplace that had arcade machines. I'm still in that same area but it sure isn't in the middle of nowhere anymore!
Just got done setting up the self leveling hitch and sway control for my car hauler. Will see how it works going up to Rockingham next weekend. Now to watch a bit of Baseball then Hockey.
$25 for all day until 2am if you wanted to stay that long. It was fun!

That friction sway won't do dick for a car trailer. Those are designed for 16' or less, 5000lbs or less. Tighten it down enough to affect a car hauler, and it'll simply bend before it stops any sway.
I sold (and set up) RVs for a dozen years.
What you need if you're worried about sway in a car hauler is a) put the car further forward so all the weight isn't on the tail (I hope you counted your links on the chain, with the car on board, to set level), and b) get a dual-cam sway control setup:
The spoon end of the weight bars, slides over the cam at the end of the chain. It wants to stay centered on the cam; any sway will be counteracted by the spoons (and the more weight on the bars, the stronger the sway control). THAT, is how you stop sway on a larger trailer.
That said, if you load it correctly (car far enough forward), you won't NEED any sway control. If you're tail-heavy, it'll wag; if you're nose-heavy, it'll pull nice and straight.
Well I'll have to dispute that...

Take it off and I bet you still don't have sway, because with weight distribution you can load nose heavy without squatting the truck.

I would concur. I towed my former rig (similar to Dadsbee's) for tens of thousands of miles with that exact same setup with no issues. And it did sway prior to the installation of the friction sway control.

If you go with the dual cam setup, you have less moving parts to worry about, and a better system. To hook up, you snap the bars into place and go. Weight distro and sway control are both active. But if you want to do it with no regard for what the systems were actually designed to do, you're more than welcome to. Again - I'm only speaking from a dozen years' experience selling and setting up RV tow rigs for thousands of customers, and working directly with the manufacturer (Reese), as well as countless RV manufacturers (Keystone, Grand Design, Newmar, KZ, Winnebago, Coleman, etc). So I guess I don't know anything.

Getting ready to build a 20' long fence from the far front corner of the house to the neighbor's fence. It'll have a 10' double swing gate but first I have to remove 3 shrub roots and about 12' of built up flower bed and in the process of doing that now. That old bed is a good foot higher than the surrounding area and is good dirt too and am planting 8 okra plants in buckets using the dirt. So far have 3 planted in the permanent buckets. Hot day here and supposed to tickle 90 degrees today. It's already 82. The fence will be 8' high to match the neighbor's and help hide the box trailer that will be about 20' behind the fence.
All 8 okra spouts are in permanent buckets and even transplanted 3 live oak trees into larger 3 gallon pots from their jail cell coffee cans. Also found a leaking outside inlet water pipe. Small leak but gotta address it soon before it becomes big. Might be leaking 5 gallons a day and found it when I took off the winter insulation wrap this afternoon. Always something. Based on how the PCV pipe is coming up out of the ground at a slight angle, gonna have to dig down and fit things up better.
Got back from CO on the Road Trip From Hell late Sunday night. On the way there, I wasn't feeling all that great, and by the time my wife and I got there, I thought my legs were going to explode, I was in so much friggin' pain! This was a a 725-mile one-way trip. I went right to bed after consuming my meds. The next couple of days or so, I was OK, but still not 100%. Our last full day there, plus the ride home, was pretty uneventful and pain-free. My wife drove roughly half of the trip, and that helped a bunch.
A tumbleweed got caught in the grille going there, with winds in excess of 65 miles per hour. That unwelcome hitchhiker scratch the living **** out of my grille! Can't catch a break, I gotta say. Along with all of that, my Passat 2.0TDI uses DEF. I was having troubles with that about 500 miles into the trip there, and then 500 miles or so on the way home. It has a 5-gallon DEF reservoir that was full, so I have a feeling that there is a DEF sensor that is failing. The whole DEF system is still under VW factory warranty, so it's going to the stealership on Friday.

We have had a few DEF sensors fail, ends up getting a replacement tank (sensor is plastic-welded to tank). Could also be a heater, could also be a leaking injector line - any white crap under the hood? Passenger side firewall area? The line runs from there to center-grille area...
Rode my new bike to the shop and planed some more wood.

Edge near tape is formed kind of like a blade.
Not sure what it is other than more than 10 bucks if I had to buy it.
