What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

I bitched about Wawa ripping people off. The Indian guy a couple miles down the road was .30 cheaper.View attachment 1856362View attachment 1856363I use the 93 octane, and that’s over $4.00 with 10% ethanol.

I got Wawaed today.

Looked at a car in a somewhat unfamiliar neighborhood.
I was driving the Satellite as I think this might be my last day for a long trip before rainy season.
Right as I got to the house, I noticed a Wawa.
Great, I said, I can get non-eth for the trip home.
It was 3.79.

So I had to go around a long block to get back on the interstate, and whadayaknow...
On the opposite side of that block is another Wawa...and everything there is 35 cents cheaper!

While both cars were out of the old garage, my honey's ride and my wagon, time for another round with the shop vac. Bye bye dust bunnies, dog hair, leaves, sand etc.

Up side to a flow through shop.....10' wide overhead door to the south and a 16' overhead to the north.....is the place stays cooler in th summer time so long as there's a breeze. Down side is leaves and just about everything else blows in. I gave up trying to keep it clean because of the time involved in doing that!

Been procrastinating on my garden tractor. Pulled the old carb off the other day only to find water in the bowl. Wish I had just pulled the plug first. Now the tank is about to come out because it has crud in it. Battery out of the way and tank hold down straps are removed. May as well replace the 40 year old fuel lines while I'm in there. Started raining and don't like the drop down door on my trailer getting soaked so quit for the day. Good excuse anyways....

My buddies king of the road motorhome at the track this weekend.. but you have to guess which one it is LOL

Let me see.....the one in the middle! Rather have that one than the new junk!!!
It kind of reminds me of seeing a new 1/2 ton beside a 90s truck. They just kept on growin

My 97 Dodge 2500 diesel is still a tad lower than my wife's 22 Colorado!! LOL And my Dakotas are perfect in town trucks and will still pull a trailer and carry 1000 lbs in the bed.

Got the last four upper cabinet doors on.

There was a gate to the back yard, but I had to remove it to get my car dolly into the back yard.
I also had to remove the post where it latched.
The wife is putting in a pool and we have to have a fully fenced yard.
I'm glad I kept the gate.
It needs to be 107" New ones are either 96 or 115...and they are hundreds of dollars.
Stretching seems like a good option.
Here goes-

End part one.

Barely fit in the truck to take to the shop.

The post with the hinges is still there but rusted out at the bottom.
I have some from a couple fence take-outs I did a few years ago.
...but they were sunk in oddly and still had concrete attached.

Change of strategy-

That was NOT fun.

Even came back ! Wife's stuck with me still... Two hours balls to the wall breaking in the new engine. Cylinder temps steady and oil temp dropped an hour and 10 minutes into the flight, showing the rings seated. No hiccups, not a drop of oil anywhere, not even the breather tube.

Got the stitches out, and the lab at the VA, had to suck some more blood out of me for analysis, for other medical issues I've got.

Met with a bank appraiser at the office building, had lunch, mowed the lawn and took a shower.

got the cable adapter for my starlink yesterday connected the cable and ran a line to the new shop, got the router hooked up connected the ipad for the tunes and security camera's. The aluminum backed insulation I put in for a thermal break and along with the metal siding, blocked out my outside signal that comes from the satellite. up and running, now my phone works inside too, not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Unexpected brake job on the truck tonight. Had a squeak that turned out to be seized pads from a dealership brake job and the 1/2 life pads cracked and dealaminated from the plates. All ready for the Wife to haul the Lund North.

Interesting dash mod on the Charger, where the radio is supposed to be.

Not sure if that's a DIN radio or relocated AC controls.

...but it looks well done and matches the dash trim.

There was a day when it felt like I was working on a fleet. I had two daily drives, one toy, Theresa's, my two daughters, and my son had two, a daily driver and a toy. Two boats and two waverunners. My Durango only has about 22,000 miles on it and it's a 2019. By the time it needs brakes, it'll be time to replace it, the whole thing!! LOL .... The weather up there is your worst enemy....... Be safe hauling that boat!!
