Basically killing time until my flight to Carlisle. So I cracked a beer and threw a tomahawk in the smoker.

Inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating a transaxle to replace the unit that locked up in my 2001 MTD Yard Machines riding lawn mower. My mower has been getting a heavy workouts for 24 years. This transaxle is actually a little older than my mower, but in decent shape. The differentials are not limited slip. I haven't removed the locked up unit yet to disassemble and see what locked it up.

Appears very realistic, I dig it. Can't remember the last one I built. Never a scoot ... maybe a Revell Peterbilt wrecker many years ago.
It's a 1/6 scale. I prefer bigger for more detail. I got rid of dozens of 1/18 die-cast and I'll be doing the same when they start to get in my way again. LOL. I'm thinking of doing a highly detailed HO train set up. I love tunnels, bridges, lakes, and waterfalls. The wife just roll her eyes at me and laughs.

Hedge trimming. Bi-annual chore, you know some are supposed to be trimmed in spring and others in fall as my wife lectures, and we have some big bushes, some over 8-feet tall. Each year I’ve brought out the old electric trimmer, ladder, and extension cord. Trimmer often isn’t quite long enough so force myself and the ladder into the bushes and reach out far as I can holding it with one hand to make the sweep. Been lucky I haven’t cut the cord over the years, but have come close. Lol, my kids have cut them though and dad repairs their cords.

I came across a Milwaukee extended trimmer which attaches to the weed whacker. Have a lot of Milwaukee tools so bought this over the weekend, thinking no more ladders and cords. Ahh, but this thing requires some strength! Man, it’s near 8-feet long weighing 17lbs. I handled it with difficulty. Patience is a virtue at 70 and no need to be in a rush. Suppose this was made for those in their prime before suffering injuries from body abuse.
I have some practicing to do to do a nicer job, but then maybe not as my wife gets on me if they look too 'trimmed' anyway!

Getting the 67 loaded up for a new car show/fireworks show on the north shore (Haleiwa) Independence day. Still got to fit the coolers and the wife's stuff. Good thing I'm not taking a E body.
