What do you do with old Cast Iron heads, and other old cast parts?

I have Cast Iron heads from a 1973 - 400 which from what I understand are pretty worthless.

What should I do with these 200 lbs paper weights? I also have the Cast Iron Water Pump Housing as well. I think I have seen those on E-bay.

Thanks!

Yep, I did! Thats why these Cast Iron heads are just sitting there. At a friends house actually. I'm thinking he wants my stuff out of there.

Worthless is a scary word... Somebody will want them. I would throw em in my pile of heads, if I could get them. Maybe use them for "experimental purposes". That cast iron water pump housing could be usable to somebody as well, if its not cracked or something like that. I hate to see these antique parts get thrown away.

You got a local Craigslist that you do anything with?
List them at a cheap, give away price, and see if anything happens.
If no takers, as somebody else said, scrap. sorry to say.

If it wasn’t a 10 hour round trip I would take them for my 400 as spares. Scraping just doesn’t seem right, somebody local to you surely could use them. It not like they are making new ones.

I have 2 x sets of 440 heads, a 73 440 intake, a 67 440 block, pair of torsion bars, and rear leaf springs........all going to the scrap dealer.

Should get enough back to buy a loaf of bread.

Hey there @4speed68rt ....you can have the stuff for free if you want......just pay the shipping.

Or do you disagree because you think I'll get enough to buy more than one loaf?

Now I’m just being curious but how much would shipping to the U.S. be ?
I imagine it is way more than they are worth.

So nobody in the Northern New Zealand Mopar club would take them off your hands for free? Seems like somebody would, unless you really need that loaf of bread, I know times are tough for some people.
