What is the max length Knife

You can carry any size you want...just dont get caught. If you have to use it well thats another story altogether....Why you expecting trouble?

Yea.. I know, but I don't really enjoy jail cells very much, especially at my age,
been there, done that! Nothing bad. I could.. but would'nt, my grandfather, willed me a Mexican knife (Its exactly like a regular hunting knife) with a leather sheath, and its blade is probably at least 12-14" long, with lots of
engraving on it. It is.. I think over 50 years old. No.. I am not expecting any
trouble, but I like to drive at night, engine and trans runs cooler, and so on. All the day and night driving I have done over the years.. I have run into people here and there, that appeared dangerous and looking for trouble, that's exactly what I am talking about. To read more about it.. go to the Mopar Events section, click on " The Carlisle 2021 thread, and read my post on page 13, I think, and it will give yo some insight about why I posted this thread. @Dodge33

Its NOT legal to Spray people with wasp spray. You can be Charged with Assault. Best advice look iy up in the states Penal code elimanates all the BS like this
Right!! Wasp spray is poisonous and pepper spray isn't.....BIG difference!

In New York you can’t carry a concealed knife, unless, of course, you’re a criminal. Then any length in permitted. Also, more good news, if you are a criminal and get arrested they will immediately let you out of jail, no bail required.

Yea, BS back, could be dead too, I’d rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6
Also that knife will get you in jail IF you stick someone, but I certainly don’t want them close enough with a 4” knife

Or put a baseball bat and glove in your car.

Thanks Ironbuilt.. good idea, I might just do that. You being a truck driver, you know what I am talking about, lots of strange things out there!! Just a small story here.. my uncle was a truck driver for many years back in the day, and he told us that he was driving near NYC and traffic was busy as usual, and somehow a guy jumped on the back of his trailer (traffic was moving) and crawled up to the front of the trailer, down the front of trailer and when he stopped at a rest area, guy knocked on his drivers side window, and unc
rolled the window down to ask him WTF, and that fast, guy stabbed him 2-3 times in the left arm and my uncle pulled out a custom club he had made, filled with some lead, knocked him off his rig with the club, and the NY state police came, and he went to jail for assault. I remember.. as our mother & father paid all of his fines so he could get back out on the road in his rig. My uncles been gone for over 20 years, and I am pretty sure he quit driving semi 12-15 yrs before
that. @Dodge33

Yes, I also carry an air hose that I can connect to my glad handle and fill my tires.
My trailer has a self airing system that keeps all the tires at 105 PSI.

If someone was to assault me, and the only defense I happened to have was a can of wasp spray, I wouldn't waste very much time deciding if I should use it.

If you have a CC permit in your home state of Michigan then you can legally carry in Pa. Pa reciprocates with Mi. But don't take my word for it. Call Pa Sherriff office to verify. Also....it is very easy to get a Pa permit if your state reciprocates.
Some counties even issue on the spot. At least they used to. Not Harrisburg though. Again....call Sheriffs office in whatever county you choose and ask.
Won't help you this year but good to know.

Good resource for US laws. Click state on map for individual laws.

I live in California and you can carry whatever length fixed blade you want so long as it’s not concealed…

I always have wanted to go around with a sword swinging on my hip…

I carry a buck endeavor as my work knife and a Berber mk2 as my dress knife…

OH was 2 1/2" when I left there in 1988.

OH state cops don't much care for "tire knockers" in a passenger car either.

I always kept a 1/2" socket set in the back seat with the ratchet (or breaker bar) loose, preferably between the seat and the door, although I've been lectured about that before.

BTW- both OH and PA state cops are notoriously strict.

If you are going through Columbus, Franklin Co Deputies used to get out on I-70, exceed the speed limit, and pull over anyone that kept up with them.

I do the same along with a 15mm socket for the belt tensioner in my Dakota. I carry a spare belt belt too if the cop has any questions about the looooong ratchet. In case that doesn't work, pulling up my driver's license will also show I'm licensed to carry so offcifer, I don't need that big ratchet for protection....I need it to work on my fricken truck! :D
