66 belvedere II texas car most of its life...migrated to south east.
318 Original poly motor, AC that did work last year needs new seals etc...but all works. 59k miles shown on title, title before me said same...so its what i was told...very little rust, has been painted 4-5 years ago color. green interior in nice shape, new seat covers, newer carpet, door panels, doors, chrome all in good condition...needs a dash pad and new floormats...
automatic car on column bench seats, very dependabe, i drive it daily some weeks, drive it a couple of hours one way to cruises some...so it defenitely can be driven, 17" wheels, ..stock 14" black steel wheels that go with it with good caps, all grill, chrome and bumpers are in decent shape..good "driver" quality, its not a show show car but has won awards at local car shows and cruises....its just a good clean driver...needs a little TlC. car is in my sig and if you search my name on here i have some good pics of it.... what would be a good ball park asking price for the car? in central ky...

not going to hurt my feelings so ill take advice....and opinions... ask away on questions on it that i forgot to add above..to help in decide in startn price.

some things have come up and i may sell it...pay some bills off and then its challenger time i beleive.....

new window felt, weather stripping on doors and back
new heater control valve
new hoses
new carb from carb specialist out of georgia

I don't know uncle Don, I just searched his old posts and found some of the pictures he's posted in the past.

She's a looker.

thanks a bunch northerndave...really appreciate it, i havent had time to get pics on this thread... the interior is probably a 7 out of 10...paint is probably a 7 or 8 out of ten...
under hood is clean but not detailed and looks like 1966....with a few new OEM parts...

when i bought it a couple of years ago it was off of racingjunk and the guy was asking $16,500...but it had 18 and 20" Coy wheels....but didnt have as much as i have done to it....now by no means do i think i would ask that high for it today...i was just saying back then he got a ton of interest on the car at that price.... i was almost thinking around 12ish...but just don't know. i want to keep it and still may...but times are tight etc.

I'm gonna say 6-8.

I've seen cars that look this nice from 30 ft, but have had quarter work done, bid up to 11K at the Zepherhills auction, and not meet reserve. I'd sell those cars for that in a minute. In fact, I'm seriously thinking about buying some and building nice drivers to sel lthere.

I'm pretty sure I could put together a few cars that nice with about 4-5K, then sell for 8-10K. I'm still "on budget" with my 66 after a year and about $1700.

I know you can't make money on a full resto in this economy, but I think there is a market for 6-9K "drivers", as I have been watching EB and CL very closely for the last couple of years. 11K cars don't sell and 8K cars do!

You're welcome Don, it's a nice car. Are you seriously considering selling or?

Looks like a good car.

Lets see, low mileage, original drivetrain, a/c car in presentable daily driver condition. I would think, if it is as clean as the pics, in the right market area, the car would be worth at least 8-10K. That being said, although the new Challengers are nice, I would stick with the old iron. I thought about a new R/T, even had the one picked out, then I went to Carlisle last year and saw a few hundred of them together. Your car, dispite whatever wear and tear it may show, will stand out more to the real car crowd than any off the lot Challenger. Take some of those $400-$500 monthly car payments, and fix your A/C,add disc brakes, and suspension upgrade, redo your interior and you will have a nice ride that will only appreciate in value. Add the depreciation on the new car to the equation and it seems like a no brainer IMHO!

That really does look like a pretty nice car. I didn't look at your photo album, but i'd say it's got to bring at least 10k even in our trying times. I would test it out on Ebay and see if there is any real interest. Include your phone # in the ad. it will weed out the tire kickers.

u sound just like my wife, all though she loves the new challenger, you see plenty of them, what you dont see is decent shape 66 pale yellow old mopars... your advice is very much in tune with my feelings. i beleive if i sold it i would be sick from the time it leaves...my 2 year and 4 year olds love riding in it, as does the wife....so its a family car you could say. its not i a hemi superbird or hemi cuda but it is a nice old driver that we all enjoy..... u sir have changed my mind.:headbang:

Keep it!It looks like a solid 12k car to me.I won't sell my 66 for less than what I think its worth. As far as being sick over selling your pride &joy? You bet your *** it hurts!Look at my 63 Fury in my gallery.2yrs to build&12yrs in my family. All 3 of my daughters&wife helped. We all miss the Red Missile a lot.Shouldn't have sold it,even if price was right.

what i have found out in this economy is every mopar or classic car is worth about half what it should be. it is a buyers market.
