What's the secret? Gotta know someone? Pay someone off?

I'm always 'refreshing' and apparently it's only refreshing the main inbox, nothing else on the PC.

Stuff like this annoys the crap outta me.

This what my PC showed while my phone showed over 100 messages.......

I've found A LOT of emails I knew nothing about because they didn't show when brought up on my PC.
That happened to me. Found e-mails from as far back as 2018. 38 of 'um.
Never knew about this until a few days ago by accident .
Must admit I am a computer cave man and can barely do this.

And it is always fun when getting a new phone, laptop, or having to install a newer edition of software to get reacclimated with. Wife and I got new phones this week and the charging ports...of course...are different requiring purchasing new cords including those for our vehicles. Old cords though are still useful for other stuff; but now more friggin cords laying around or to be disposed of..

Yep. I sure like the USB-C plugs though. No flat to line up. Plug it in either way.

That's what my better half was happy about. Lol, my hit & miss record with plugging in the phones the right way was around 90%...the wrong way first. Reminds me of the car my folks bought, a '66 T-Bird having the new fangled key you could insert either way...GM key cut side down, mopar and older Fords key up. Damn it was sure tough in the old days.

I bought adapters for my old cords. Just have too many to replace and the adapters cost me a grand total of 6 bucks for 8 of them. And I like the new ports too since the cords plug in either way but the old ones have a couple of small 'teeth' on one side so it's not hard to feel that and plug them in right. And I still like my old phone better.....dang it.

When I'm home I use wireless charging, just lay the phone on the charging station.... It saves wear on the charging port, my previous phone wouldn't charge half the time because the charge port had worn & the connectors didn't make contact... With using the wireless charging now when I'm on the road & use corded charging the phone always gets charged...

Same here....lay my phone on top....always plugged in and running.

Well, dang it, this has made me aware of a problem I don't know how to fix.

My PC and iphone aren't showing the same emails. I 'found' a bunch of unread emails on my iphone, but yesterday, I had it happen the other way around, a bunch of emails found on my PC that didn't show on my iphone.

I'm in 'sell off' mode trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff and this is making it extremely difficult. Storage is too far away for me to just pop home every few minutes to check my PC.

Maybe I should just price a roll off dumpster and be done with this.......... :cursin:

Have you checked your spam/junk mail to see if they're going there?

When it happens both ways it's probably not the phone/computer settings, it's the email settings... You want Map not Pop..

Earlier in this very thread I mentioned I did check the trash, and that's where I found the problem. My PC showed the trash file 'empty', but the same folder thru my iphone showed almost 100 messages, some dating back to 2020.

Then, this morning, I almost missed out on a sale because no emails from the buyer showed up on my iphone despite repeated refreshing and checking the trash folder. But, once home I checked my PC, and found three messages in the 'inbox' from the buyer which still weren't showing on my iphone. WTF?? :cursin:

Well, after spending almost 30 minutes of searching and googling, I still have no idea where to find these settings..........:(:cursin:

Sign in to your email account through their website, go to settings...

To be honest I struggle with this stuff too so I'm not the best tech support but I dealt with the same problem years ago so I know just enough to be dangerous..

Course on the other side guys who know this stuff like it's second nature are lousy at tech support cause they can't relate to our struggling with the easy stuff..
