I saw this at a local show, a recent restoration. I didn't look at the FT but I believe it is B7? He said the stripe was a light blue but he replaced it with white.

Appears to be, looks exactly like one I had 50 somewhat years ago. Good thing is, no matter which shade you pick... you're right ! They're ALL look great !

seeing all these cars really makes me miss my e-bodies, 74 Challenger and 73 Cuda'

always thought the black was typically called Matte Black, and yes, gloss is wrong
My understanding is that the original Mopar OE stripes had a slight sheen to it, matte black is actually flatter than satin black.
Satin black has more white mixed in that gives it a slight sheen/gloss, but besides the color originally the stripes also had a texture finish..

Just my $0.02...

My black was done in gloss because I wanted that way.
I had the choice of matte but if you get wax on the matte finish it’s not so pretty anymore. Just my opinion.
Good point!!
Really depends upon the opinion of the car owner, thats the main thing that matters.....

What color primer is used under the Mopar blues?
Reddish?
Light grey?
Medium grey?

My first Charger was B3, which I never really cared for, so I changed it to the darker B7 (I think) these pictures showing the evolution are 47 years old, and this car was unfortunately total in an accident in 1978.

My 69 RT. B5 blue. Every car show I get at least 2 or 3 people that walk up to me and tell me how much they like the color.

Having said that though the most beautiful 69 charger I have ever seen was a B7 with white top and white interior. That is what I went looking for when I bought this car. B7 chargers are EXTREMELY rare however. If you want something very rarely seen, go B7.

Just my 2 cents

I made a mistake and painted the column on my 69 charger the b-5 and it calls for b-7 going to redo with the suede b-7correct. It’s a darker beautiful blue but love the B-5 for the correct exterior!!

Not bashing cars painted B7, but pulling away from B7, reason being as the many pics of cars painted the B7, the cars themselves seem to be over powered by the color washing away the details. Not sure if it's me, my eyes or....but other colors even non-blues, my focus is all over the vehicle admiring it's lines and curves not just the color, but with the B7 I find myself hunting for those things, kinda like a girl in a long denim dress lol.
