The install part is important, but for a vinyl door card , the flat one is better. The destructions show with the tool how to split the card board and get the clip on so it doesn't look like *** underneath the vinyl.
Again all shown in a restoration thread, but I digress.. ;o)The install part is important, but for a vinyl door card , the flat one is better. The destructions show with the tool how to split the card board and get the clip on so it doesn't look like *** underneath the vinyl.
Our (66 67) Chargers have the expensive extravagant full 1 piece vacuum formed carpeted door panels.. way more forgiving. Could use either clipI used the ones in the second picture in our Charger.
For upper and lower panels?
I use dielectric greaseNo matter which style you use, put a bit of silicone grease on them. Helps stop paint chipping and eases the installation.

Yep, need to make sure they're properly grounded.I use dielectric grease
Gotta go with 7/8” also. I had a few missing & went to local upholstery shop & he gave me a couple for VW’s. Looked & worked identical.Closer to 7/8, definitely not 1 1/8.
The specs are in Class.Ind description.
Yes used them on both interior door panels just last week.
Cute but, dielectric grease is a insulator, it does not conduct electricity.Yep, need to make sure they're properly grounded.![]()
My point exactly however irrelevant Mike.Cute but, dielectric grease is a insulator, it does not conduct electricity.
