With all the different motor oil out there and no zinc. What are you guys useing for oil with highest zinc content?Or what brand of supplement are you adding?
I use Valvoline ZR1 racing oil with a NAPA Gold filter
and buy my ZDDP additive here

Just read the STP bottle tonight while at the store. It says it has more anti wear agents and contains higher amounts of ZDDP and another additive " dont remember the second" than other oil additives.
It sounds as if they re-formulated STP to contain the good stuff these days. Maybe this is the latest ZDDP additive for our oils?
I think the "Rotella 1" still has it in there too because there other blends state they are for over the road emission controlled vehicles.
I think I'll try the Rotella 1 with new STP added for insurance in my new build.
I have been using Shell Rotella 15W-40 in everything I own for many years. I even run it in my 90 Civic which consistently gets 35+ mpg. Shell has reduced the zinc in Rotella too. I spoke with Shell Rotella Tech (800-237-8645) and they swear up and down Rotella 15W-40 is fine for my old Mopar, even with flat tappets and high performance valve spring loads.
