My stepdads friends say it looks much better now, and that the redlines make the car pop more. In my opinion, even though I’m not really an aftermarket rim guy its still the old rims and tires for me. Mainly because I don’t like change and my stepdad paid ALOT of money for this car so it should NOT need anything. But whatever its his money. In my opinion the old rims were one offs and EVERYONE has magnums on their cars so they bor me, and the tires were fatter in the back to give it that badass hotrod look. Now they’re a little smaller. Here are a couple before and after pictures. What say everyone which is better, I’m curious to know…..

100% the old, I do like the Chrome Road Wheels & redlines
but it's over done like the dork dish/poverty hubcaps on painted steel wheels

if it was mine I'd have the 1st photo

My point exactly. The magnums are like bellybuttons EVERYONES got em, I like stuff thats different. Not to mention you don’t see Mickey Thompson tires too often either. I guess its all a matter of taste, I’m glad you and I think the same way.

They both look great.
If I had to pick one set , I would go with the road wheels.

The wheels in your first picture look great.

can I have the old ones?
Not to get this post off track, but have? Unfortunately no, we may actually give them back to the previous owners of the car but if we decide to sell them you will be the first one I reach out to if they don’t want them.

I'm not sure which is the old, and which is the new.
If I had to pick one, I'd take the magnums/redlines.
But you have both sets. Put on whatever suits you at the moment. I change wheels and tires like underwear.

thank you..... I was just being an *** :carrot:

You are correct - the 'originals' [aftermarket wheels and bigger tyres] look better imnsho.

(now dont get me wrong - I love Mag 500s and redlines - want a set for my car - but on THIS car in This colour, I think the Budnicks and blackwalls look much better)

I like the look of the aftermarket wheels in the first pic better. I would keep both. Then you can change it up every now and then.

Step Dad's right, the Magnum/Red line combo is mint. Arguably? Increases the perceived value and nobody minds that. But I'm sure he also knows, they would look nice on that 66 too
