Who has fell down and wasn't drinking!

Like you, I find when working on my back, I get what I call a head rush, but maybe it is vertigo? I don’t get dizzy, but once I sit up, after a few seconds, I’m fine.
Yeah, a “head rush” is a fair description for a minor version of Vertigo. I’ve read it is usually related to inner ear instability. I’ve had ear issues since I was a kid but my balance is usually great. I used to walk on 2x4 or 2x6 walls 8-14 feet off the ground and while I didn’t get a thrill from it, I could do it to get jobs done.
The Vertigo can sometimes cause nausea.

Never did much like working on structures more than one story. Going up in an small aircraft never bothered me tho. Dad took us to a small airport to go up in a single engine aircraft back in the early 60's and my sister would not get in the plane. I was all for it so she stayed on the ground and I found a new love! Just wish I could have afforded it lol

I do Property maintenance and end up taking a tumble a few times a year especially in winter while doing snow removal on the few properties I do that service... Hopefully I keep getting back up!

If any of you guys or gals play pickle ball, that is a great place to fall. I stopped to help my buddy play against my wife and his wife. I thought 2 against one wasn’t fair. 5 minutes later the pictures tell it all. The Surgeon said 6 months and nothing or 6 weeks and 3 screws. Took me all of 5 seconds to tell him to screw me. Lol My childhood buddy broke his neck last winter falling into the net playing against his daughter. Thankfully after surgery and 8 months of recovery he is just about back to golfing. Orthopedic doctors love pickle ball players job security!

I avoid that risk by using this.

i also have to deal with the Random vertigo issues. they started appx 8 years ago after laying around the house for weeks recovering from hernia surgery. i went to get out of bed 1 day and the instant spinning sensation literally threw me back on the bed ! i didnt know what the heck was happening, i literally crawled down the hall to the bathroom to take care on the morning business....

then i learned about the epley maneuver's..and its been a recurring event since then, i sometimes do them for maintenance.

i also was the guy up on the multi story structures loading roofing materials before i got into management...loading in the middle of winter 2-3 storys up with ice and snow on it, No problems. raced and rode dirtbikes at the pro level , No problems. now at 67 i know why old people fall and hurt themselves...

im having a CT scan next week of my sinus's and an appointment with the ear, nose and throat doctor next....when my ears start ringing and feel plugged up thats when i have to be careful. cue tips also can cause it by pushing wax into the ear...exercising daily and staying busy does help. its also when i sit and binge watch some show on netflix that when i get up its like a disoriented feeling, light headed. a high feeling..

they do have a surgery that will stop those ear crystals from floating around where they shouldnt be and cause it...
