Found out a few days ago that the Rolling Stones are coming to the Indianapolis 500 this year. Seeing how I live about six blocks as the crow flies, I can sit at home and enjoy. Expecting over 100,000. I hate crowds!

Ya, I know they are older than dirt but may be the last time they tour in the U.S.

LOL. I remember saying the exact same thing when I saw them play in the late 80's. They put on an awesome show then. They remind me of the Duracell batteries that just keep on going, and going, and going................................

That is cool, the Rolling Stones are awesome. I got my ticket for the Eagles on June 2nd in the mail this week.

They're coming to Columbus Ohio on May 30th. I've heard the production company is having a hard time finding wheel chair ramps long enough to get them on stage.

One question......WHY? They'll sound worse than some bar-band, doing terrible covers.

Why not??? Because they can. I saw them at the Kingdome in Seattle in 1982. Huge concert, five bands. I had the seats that were possibly the furthest from the stage as a guy could have; what I referred to "Section ZZZ, Row Z, Seat Z"...what fun that was!

1982 to 2015 is a big difference lmao I love the Stones but my god when they said they made a deal with the devil they weren't kidding with the live forever thing holy crap I think they are all animatronics now lmao either that or they soak in pickle juice all day long rofl

I think I saw these guys sitting on a bench outside of the old folks home. Amazing that they are still around.

The Stones prove that "Better Living Through Recreational Pharmaceuticals" is more than just a catch-phrase - they LIVE it!

They will be in Milwaukee on June 24th to open SummerFest, the worlds largest music festival. At $94.00 for the lawn seats, I don't think it has any value. Oh well, the wife said, so spend I will do.

I'm going to preface this by saying that most of the bands I'm into are a solid 20 to 30 years younger than the Stones. I've seen a ton a live music starting in 1977 when I saw my first concert. I finally saw The Rolling Stones on their 2013 tour. They kicked butt for three solid hours, they never let up on the energy or took any kind of break. Probably the #1 best show I've ever seen and like I said before, I've seen my share. I'd like to see what you are all doing when you are in your early '70s, pretty sure you won't be doing anything close to what these guys can still do. I don't get what someone's age has to do with playing music. Either you can still deliver the goods and put on a good show, or you can't. The Stones can still deliver. I saw Merle Haggard recently and he's in his late '70s but his voice is still great, another show that's one of the best I've ever seen.

My wife and I bought $85 tickets for the 2013 Stones show. The deal they had then was that the $85 dollar tickets were random seating. You wouldn't know if you were going to be sitting in the nosebleeds or right in front of the stage until you gave your ticket to the ticket taker. We lucked out and got to see them from right in front of the stage, the $1000 seat area.

The Seattle concert in October 1981 saw four other bands plus the Stones - J. Geils, Loverboy, Greg Kihn Band, and a local Seattle band. That was an amazing night of rock and roll! Not without some tragedy, though...

The night I went, was the night a guy was standing on a railing over one of the concourse entrances during the show, slipped and fell about 20 feet, splitting his head open like a ripe melon, and killing the poor guy.

Having watched history change Feb. 9, 1964, I later in the year also watched the Stones debut. So, in 1978, my buddies & I HAD to drive to Washington DC to see the Stones live. After all, we thought then, how much longer would they still be a band ???

The Stones might just be clones of the originals, who might be in a frozen state in a secret underground bunker in an undisclosed location, ensuring that the possibility of a live Stones concert continues through at least the year 2080.

Or, they may just be pickled zombies.

Have they even done anything creative in the last while? I remember finding most of their late 70's - mid 90's albums uninteresting to me but I really liked 'Bridges To Babylon' in 1997. But as far as I know, everything released since then has been packages of greatest hits, live albums or videos. Is there anything new on the horizon?
