The Rolling Stones announced a 16-date North American tour in support of their new album “Hackney Diamonds”. And they did something kind of brilliant:

They effectively prevented all of us smart-asses from being able to joke about the tour being sponsored by the AARP . . . because they literally got the AARP to sponsor the tour. (!!!)

The New Rolling Stones Tour Is Sponsored by the AARP . . . Seriously

I still think they should have named it the Steel Wheelchair tour.

And I thought I was seeing them live before they broke up back in the 70's !! We drove down to RFK in D.C., Foreigner was the opening act.

Great tunes over the years. To me it's good to see them still preforming at a high level.
They have set the bar pretty high for the younger bands.

The Rolling Stones are the Tom Brady GOAT of rock and roll. The bar is set so high it’s virtually impossible to see their years on the road pulling in this level support in their 80s(!) eclipsed.
