Would Two Chebby's equal One Dodge?

Let me know if you want more.....

I heard first about the hemi being "not reliable" (in 1969) from a salesman that needed me to buy a 383 superbee that he had on hand.
Since then (8 years later) I bought a 68 Hemi RR that I drove in all seasons as a daily car. ---75 thousand trouble free miles. It was running strong and using no oil when I sold it.

The word I got when working at a 70's Chrysler dealer is that the stock Hemi was a dog off the truck, but the other big block were better performers. The Hemi just needed to be massaged and upgrades installed before it was a good performance engine. Two of these mechanics I worked with that said this was full time Mopar drag racers. Incidentally only two were sold in the early seventies only one came back in for service.
