WTF is it with Subaru Drivers?

IF, you drive like the Ford dually drivers around here ___YES!
I drive a Ford dually with a nice heavy steel flatbed, I've punted a few **** box drivers off the *** end, I tell them next time don't drive too close and be in a rush.
I love the one's that pullout in front of me when I'm doing 45, I'm gonna get one someday right in the rear quarter.

A little off topic, but this thread is already off the rails.

I had heard of the German leader during ww2 referred to as a carpet eater. I figured it was sexual, what else could it be?
I read in a book, probably The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, an actual description.
During the early days of his political rise, when he got really upset, he would fall down on the floor and in a fit of rage pull up the edge of the rug and chew on it.
Go figure…

I just see the trend of them being owned by extreme liberals who think they are above the rest and have Karen tendencies. It’s kinda funny you see some that buy the car and then become like the commercials big into cycling and wearing tight ball crushing clothes with sweat bands and aviators.
Just ask anyone from New England who does not drive a Suburu, and they will confirm this. They called them crunchy granolas among other things when I was working on a project in Vermont. In New England, not all Suburus are are owned by libtards, but all libtards own Suburus.

Maybe you were following these guys. Tested and approved.

I like the Retrievers Golden & Labrador, in the Subaru commercials, sort of cute
"puppies", are good marketing campaigns, just not the cars

Oh don't forget about Volvo drivers as being terrible
My former boss wanted me to look at his car,he didn't speak english very well. He said Peter my Vulva is broken! I said you don't need a mechanic you need a Gynocolegst!

I was just driving home from work and I had a flashback to the late 70s! There was a Honda Accord that was crabwalking down the highway like a 70s Chevy Nova or Camaro. I could see the whole left front tire sticking out beyond the left rear tire,as the car drove sideways down the highway!

IBTL. (Moparts flashback)
There's some pretty funny quips in this thread tho...

I love this place. I started this thread to vent from the frustration of driving home behind a green Subaru. You guys have turned it into outright entertainment. Almost 100 posts in 24 hours. Fun stuff.

The lesbian discovery of Subaru ownership came by accident over 25 years ago. Pontiac was advertising that the Grand Am was the number one automobile purchased by women. Subaru was about to challenge Pontiac about the female ownership numbers then accidentally discovered it was a "lifestyle" kind of thing with the female ownership. Back in those times it was not acceptable to brag about being the number one car of lesbians.

Anyhow, today Subaru ownership is a bit more diverse as they have sales across many "demographics", but there's still that lingering reputation about the owners "lifestyles" that keeps coming back to haunt the brand.

Well, considering all the above, actually there are two things on the road that annoy me ( honestly probably another hundred things... ). These dopes that ride around in their ricemobiles with SEVERELY negative camber... on ALL four wheels !!! what the hell is up with that ??? You want to advertise to everyone that you're an idiot ?? And, the other thing is these cars/trucks with multiple headlights that could light up a stadium. Yeah, I'm gonna drive around and light up a whole square mile in front of me with a gazillion candlepower, the hell with anyone oncoming traffic's sight, I'll blind 'em.

Subaru is an interesting study in marketing. In the US, their advertising certainly targets the birkenstock wearing, granola eating androgynous leftist demographic. Aside from the adorable dog commercials, they are obviously slanted to the mask wearers and safety uber alles totalitarian snowflakes.
However, in other countries, they are seen as a performance car and their advertising reflects this. New Zealand is a good example - at least used to be. And the ownership demographics reflect this. Interesting how they "decided" to go the route they did in the US.
Theyre actually pretty nice cars and the performance versions are killer. The flat four is a stolen design from Alfa Romeo; Alfa even sued and won for patent infringement ; didnt stop subaru from continuing on. The [original - dont know about now] AWD was 'borrowed' from Ferguson and the unibody architecture of the earlier "modern" lines was GM. Buddy bought one of the REAL STi coupes bitd - man what a neat car! Id have two if they werent japanese...

I agree that the Subaru advertising today is targeting a certain demographic, but I think the following from the lesbian community started way back, perhaps even in the 1980s. My niece and her partner both drive Subarus exclusively, and when I ask why they really can't give me an answer other than "it's what our 'community' drives". Cars are just an appliance to those women, yet they are very loyal to the Subaru brand.

BTW, my friends son was taking business/marketing as a major at University of Washington in the late 1990s and some of the course material was on Subaru's demographics and market strategies. This is where I got the information I posted in #93 in this thread.

Subaru...head gasket leaks.

There's gotta be a joke in there.

A bit off tangent, but has everyone noticed how, in nearly every car commercial with a couple, there's either a lesbian couple or a hetero couple--with the woman hopping in the driver's seat? It seems all about the emasculation of men & empowerment of women.
