Where do people come up with these prices?

I like how they always ask these ridiculous prices and don't even bother to halfway clean the car up.

That's intentional. The big thing in "barn finds" today is dirt, bird ****, plants, debris, and whatever other crap was on the car when it was taken out... as if that stuff ads to the legitimacy of the claim.

The ads and auctions I like are the ones where the car looks nice and shiny, but you see the huge puddle of water under it and a hose and bucket nearby so you know the guy was out there trying to pretty it up before taking the pics.

I had a buddy just sell a nice 71 rr 6-pack for 31k. He is out of line imo. But, if the right person has to have that car, who knows.

wrong jack for this car, body putty between rocker an lower rear quarter(not puttyed from factory)car has been repainted rear lookes to clean an shiney

That Dana looks like he just put it under there certainly doesn't fit with the look of the underside

Only acceptable scenario for buying or selling at that price:

Yes, my buddies 6-pack was in very good condition and sold for much less than that here. Like someone else here said though, they do bring high prices overseas.

Does the guy selling think everyone is a doofus???

" I did find a small piece of broadcast sheet in a bag that looks like it could be to the car, but I have not looked to see if it is the original one to it or if there is another one in the interior."

He needs to check his own pictures....

If you look at the sellers name and have spent any length of time over on mofarts you will know who this person is. He's always selling cars and parts and does seem to know what the market is on stuff. Have you ever thought that maybe there's something special about this car that isn't disclosed in the ad? Don't put your cart before the horse!

don't like the price... DON'T BUY IT! ....simple..

This car is for sale on other forums. He is asking $22k. I'm guessing the reserve will be around $20k.
