Anyone ever use Suspension load cells

Pretty nifty.

I like it but I have no need for it since my cars hook pretty much all the time.

Bobtile will probably need them after he put's on his new CALTRACS. :popworm:

Found these nifty load cells that attach right to rear coil overs. I'd imagine they'd be pretty effective in picking up any anomalies like hitting the tires too hard and unloading the suspension, and perfecting a setup to get that perfect launch.

Anyone ever use them??

Did you see the price tag on these gems? $3495.00 :icon_surprised:

Looks like an overpriced bandaid for a poorly set up rear suspension system.

I'm thinking more in line of finding which way to go to fine tune your suspension by either stiffening or loosening it up. That's a rich mans device or for the pro's.

I figured they'd be spendy, but holy smokes. I guess we'll leave them to john force and his gang.

I wonder. I bet they'd be pretty nifty for getting that initial hit just right but even better for tuning the dampening of the loading/unloading cycles that occur during the first 60 ft that can break stuff or get you loose.

I mean, not for MY car lol, but for maybe as SSR said - for the high rollers such as Mr. Tile. :)

I just can't see the value in these. It's a cool concept but you can do the same thing with a tank of gas and a set of spanner wrenches.

Pro-Stocks & some Pro-Mods, use something similar, the ones that are competitive anyway,
all run some form of electronic aided shock/suspension gizmos/load sensors etc. now,
with electronic aides, read outs & computer diagnostic support,
it's the new millennium of drag racing...

Anything for an edge on your competitor, it's cutthroat...

Sensors everywhere, read outs on everything,
there are multitudes of other electronic gizmos too,
that could tie into the system, ignition retards, fuel systems {even N20} & braking etc.,
aides to take out or add power or apply the brakes etc.

I'm sure Racepak & others, has some sort of sensor for them now too...

most P/S & Pro Mod racers are pretty secretive on what they run & the setup's

I bought a gross and threw them in the garbage as I am rich.
