Funny you should bring up Richard's name. The King cheated too. Ran an engine 30ci bigger than legal, got caught.
I can't believe a mad Raiders fan is railing against cheating in the NFL. The Raiders INVENTED cheating!! Check your Websters, you'll see a Raiders illegal plaster cast pic next to the word!!
it was "NOT" in reference to King Richard it was merely "petty" {small & insignificant}

Raiders of old were constantly accused of cheating,
but never "actually" found guilty too, of anything significant anyway...
Patriots have been cheating for over a decade now, well documented cases,
some well known & maybe some not so well known,
had some very obscure rules go their way several times, in key games,
cleaning snow off the field for a kicker, the tuck rule {fumble}...LOL
it maybe some "petty" crap, none the less,
it's still cheating, it's against the rules !!
I SAY
"Embrace the bully mentality & your fierce or winning reputation,
but don't cheat, then when you do, don't lie & hide from it", weasel out of it...
Like the Patriots are now doing again...LOL
Jack Tatum, George Atkinson, Ted Hendricks, Lyle Alzado, Matt Millen & John Mituzack {spelling?}
would all be great examples of playing hard & tough, but that isn't cheating !!...
Playing hard to the whistle, isn't cheating !!,
kicking someone's a$$, up & down the field, isn't cheating !!,
it maybe dirty football, by some other's standards, but it isn't cheating !!
In the AFC, the Steelers {especially}, Browns, Buffalo, Houston, Jets, Colts, Seattle, KC & Denver
"were" the same way, it was a different era...
BUT that was a different time & a much different culture in the NFL too,
what they did then "is" against the rule now, we have a much gentler & softer NFL today...
But flagrant rules breaking {especially over a decade or more now} is cheating,
no matter how "petty"...
that's not in reference to the King either,
even the best stretch the rules...LOL
