So how did some who attended like the show. I went on Thursday mourning and there was not as many cars or venders there yet. I did get to talk to Dennis Kors and his wife for awhile and then i spoke to RC on the phone as i walked around.

Larry (Kahn) came up from N.C to make the trip with me and my daughter then at the last minute we picked up my niece to fill up the Charger. Man what a drive (4hrs and 45 minutes) but I enjoyed the show. We met Hawk, RC and Bobtile while we were there and much to my surprise RC isn't a dick at all haha. We checked out Bobtiles drag RR and Hawks beautifully restored Limegreen RR (allot of attention to detail) and the kids got their picture taken with Luke Duke so it was fun. The thing I liked about Carlisle was how organized it was, the cars were actually grouped......

Please someone post pictures I'm Dying to see some!!.

sucks I couldn't make it, just bad timing for me this year........ I lost a week in June due to a water well issue and another week without electric due to a bad storm...... I just couldn't catch up from a work standpoint, the bills just keep coming....... hopefully next year will be different

I was ablet o pick up a few items. I sold nothing in the way of Hemi parts I had with me. The two hemi cranks and Spare hemi Steel Block will go back home. I should not complain since I did not have a booth. 3 people knew what i had and only takes the right person. I am looking for RT Emblems for 67 Coronet RT. other wise a lot of fun going their.. I did not see anyone but wasn't really looking/ HA ha

wow, Tom Wopat was there? always heard he shied away from events, unlike John Schneider who goes to them.

747, I took a couple of photos of your car there yesterday. I was going to mention that I noticed your car from here but you weren't around. Nice car BTW man, I love the Coyote logo and the stance is killer! I enjoy seeing all of the restored Mopars' but it is a breath of fresh air to get to check out a custom one once in a while!

John is the only one i havent seen there. Last year was daisy cooter and i think enos were there. A few years back it was coy and vance. Then luke this year. Maybe next year john will grace us with his presence. Would be nice since he is the one who actually owns chargers

Sorry for the let-down.

Haha, after reading all of your bizarre post I just wasn't sure what to expect.

I was a bit embarrassed by how filthy it was but I drove a long ways with two 8 year olds in the back and felt like looking at cars instead of cleaning mine. Glad you aproved and sorry I missed you.

Wait...Daisys cooter was there and I missed it ?

I was there for a little over two hrs on Sat morning. Walked in gate one, started down the first road in the swap meet. Looked for Snake with no avail he wasn't there. Found a like new set of headers, cheep! Went all the way up to 68 chicken's site, shot the breeze with him awhile, always great to talk to. Then came back the next road and on the way found two, like new Eddie 600 carbs, great deal on them. Ran into a guy who sells mostly '62 parts, from near Ohio. Bought a headlight ring from him for 20 bucks. Went to the car and left. Had to be at a cookout by 4:00. It was really getting crowded by that time. Made me think about just how many people own Mopars and are looking for parts!
Here's a couple of the many cars that were in just the first two rows:

Why didn't you come say hi to me?

I wouldn't want to see that...she has not aged well lol.

Neither has her cooter as I saw it while waiting for cranium outside the women's shower.

This was my first time there & it was really better than I expected. Cars sorted parts a plenty(if you did some digging). Really inspiring cars. I feel like I did well. Found several items I needed for prices I was comfortable paying. Actually bought some AMD stuff from a local Pittsburgh guy. Going to get some window gutter stuff and 4sp w/out console floor section. Need the filler for deck also. I will be going next year.

I had the pleasure of checking out Devin's car - it is as sweet as it looks in pictures. A true craftsman! Larry (conv67bdere) came down with Devin and the two girls. Both Larry and Devin were great guys - thanks for checking in and meeting up! I was running around as my father-in-law showed up as well and I had to go get him, but it was to meet them - even for a short time.

I also met Bobtile and Mitch (68Chicken) both stand-up guys. It was cool to see Bob's GTX, and I am afraid I would only see the back of it if I started taking smack with him!

Of course, what I was most excited about was my car actually made it to Carlisle and back! It had maybe 15 miles on it before that, but I threw caution to the wind and drove it there. It made it without issue, even though the interior wasn't done. It was still fun!

I forgot/was too busy to take many pictures, but here are a couple at least. First, a few of the Hawk-Rod:

This black Road Runner was a 30,000 original mile, original owner car. Absolutely beautiful!

And finally, 747mopar's car - nice!

I had a great time. Hopefully next year I will have less running around to do and can meet more of the FBBO crew!

Wish I would have had a chance to go. I've never been. It's too far away from CA. But I'd love to there with all those cars and have a chance to meet some of the FBBO regulars. I'm missing the whole season with my car not being done. I've tired of the stories the guy whose doing the body has about why it's not done. Anyway, glad you all had a great time. Wish there were a few more pics so we could live vicariously through those of you that went.

It was supposedly the biggest turnout ever and the biggest Mopar event in the world. Had a tire lose a belt on the way there, lucky I felt the vibration and pulled over before it exploded. My spare had no air! My buddy had a 14" spare but it hit the caliper. Other buddy in our caravan pulled the spare out of his red Charger and loaned it to me. Yellow car with a red rim - felt like I had the Little Tykes edition road runner! It's nice to have friends that have your back. The Mopar Hall of Fame banquet was amazing. Saw lots of great cars, got a demo ride in a Hellcat, scored a few parts, met a lot of nice people. One guy from Canada tried to buy my car from me! He didn't want it bad enough, though...
