Thinking about a Quick Fuel??

I can start my 63 with the 850 DP and no choke even when its in the 30's. And thats no choke blade as I take the choke blade out of my double pump carbs. I found out over the years how much easier it is to start my hotrod in colder weather with a DP carb then a carb with just one acell pump like a vac secondary carb. I pump it to the floor about 4 times and keep puming while I crank it over and it will fire up and then I have to feather it to keep it running a few minutes until it warms up some. But I rarely drive it in weather colder then 50 degrees. But I do start and run it some every few weeks through the winter when its colder then 40 degrees. Ron

I bought this as they don't offer an electric choke in a DP. its their 830, with mechanical secondaries and annular boosters with electric choke (we get colder weather here but still nice enough to drive around in dry spots during fall/winter which is why I wanted an electric choke)

Actually they do, I'm thinking about this one.

I would love to go without a choke but after running a Demon without a choke on one of my other cars I swore I'd never do it again, there were times it took 2 people to start it with one choking it so that's out.

I will add that my motor doesn't seem to like being choked though, starts great but runs like **** until the choke disengages which is set to turn off about as quickly as possible.

My brother has run a couple of quick fuels with good luck. For my 68 charger I had pro systems carbs build one for my motor. Gave them all the specs on my 383 build, tranny, gear ratio, exhaust size what brand and octane fuel would be in it and how the car would be used. The carb runs great and they have great service if you have any questions or problems.
