Hey guys. I have reinstalled my rear suspension/rear end. All hotchkiss. I'm having issue with how the rear brake lines are routed. I've found some pics on google/here. It looks like a short rubber hose from a bracket that attaches to the steel line going to the front. Does the hose just run to a distrubition block then split for left/right rear brakes? Here's a pic of progress.

Exactly, my 67 went from solid line that runs up to the front, to the bracket you mentioned a flex hose there running to the distribution block then solid lines to both sides

Looking good. That's how my 65 is too.

If you buy pre bent lines for the rear axle, pay attention to where the brass block/ vent is located on the axle housing. Some years are close to the center. Some are further out on the tube. I learned the hard way. Lol.

Aaron is correct. I ran into this on my 8-3/4". There are two very slightly different distribution block locations....maybe 3"-4" different location which makes the solid brake lines on the axle itself a little longer on one & a little shorter on the other, depending on where your distribution block is located.

IF you find that your lines aren't the correct ones vs. your distribution block, send me a picture of the lines laying on the rear end with your distribution block showing how the lines aren't exactly right. I have an extra set of 8-3/4" axle brake lines (the ones that were wrong for my car) and if they happen to be the ones YOU need, I'd give them to you free if you pay the shipping.

According to a small note in Classics catalog, 66-69 was close to center. 70 & later was further out on the axle tube.
If anyone has ever done an axle swap, it could be a problem.
I paid big bucks for what i thought was a 68 rear end. I restored it all. Tracked down the correct brake hardware etc. Then found out it was a 70 or later axle.

I still need the lines. If hes not interested i'd be willing to buy them. My block/ vent is the one furher out on the tube. Thx

I am missing the lines and distribution block. I can measure and show pics where the axle vent is. I was told this is a 69 charger rear end. I appreciate the help. Can I purchase a distribution block new? I have wildcat auto close buy also if not. Purple beeper I will figure out this week what I have and get back to you on those lines. That's an awesome offer. Thank you. One step closer!

Here's a pic I found online

Looks like the distribution block bolts to the housing. The "other" version bolts up the same way, but the distribution block is a few inches closer to the "pumpkin" section, so the lines are different lengths (by a couple inches). This diagram calls it a "Tee"

I ordered everything from dr. Diff yesterday (hose, brass T, OEM pre bent lines and a full overhaul kit for the brakes. I appreciate all the help and will post pics as I get it assembled.
