Saw an ad on CL, guy is parting out a dodge intrepid
Text messages:
Me: intrepid parts, does it have the 3.5 engine

Seller: possibly

Me: 8th digit in the vin is the engine
Also has emblem on top of the engine
Also interested in the wheels

Seller: vin is on the dash ,drivers side
Address is in the ad

Its an hour and half drive to see the car. Maybe I should have told him that and then he might have gotten out of his recliner and looked at the car?

I hate having to pull information out of someone, arent they trying to sell something or should I be grateful he will allow me to view his treasure of kinetic art?

When I need help with something, I always try to make it EASY for people to help.
I clear junk out of the way, my tools are nearby and clean, I have soap and towels, water and soda....Why make it difficult for people willing to help? The same should go for sellers: Have answers ready for the callers, be sober, be reasonable.
