In the early 60's friend of had a bulletin about oil pump cover modification to supply extra oil to engine. I modified this cover as bulletin described and it worked. Never put it on a running engine but mocked it up and both pickups drew oil. Wonder if you used this with a oil pick and the stock internal pickup would equal a dual line system? I'll never use it always wondered if anyone has? Had to use a stud on one mounting hole.

Trying awfully hard to wrap my head around that(?). Too many beverages today, upper 90’s! How can it seal with a missing bolt?

That's why the stud, it replaced the bolt. I didn't see the problem when I made it. A little different bend would fix it. Worked nights and would go into machine shop and work on car parts. Boss came an ask what I was doing "make a piece for my car" shake his head and walk off.

My guess is the other ideas (simpler, using a generic swinging pickup) and Milodon setups made that a waste of time. Any way to draw oil from the sump and feed the inlet side of the pump will help.

LOL Had it easier being a machinist so had my pick of the lathes and mills especially when things were slow. They rather you look busy than sitting around crushing.

What supplies the second pickup?
My thought was to use the regular internal with a pickup from a Milodon single pickup mounted on the side of oil pan. This was probably before Milodon made oil systems, early design for Max wedge guys??? The paper it was on was old when I saw it in 1970.

People have been coming up with ways to address the suction side issues since the first wedge big blocks were produced in the 50s. You can't fault anyone for trying...lol
