Anyone know about shoulder belts for a b body convertible. I know I saw a picture of one but forgot we’re.
The passenger seat on the lower bottom part of seat has a seatbelt receiver end. I doubt it was added on, looks factory
Thanks

What year? Shoulder belts are a, truly, rare option in 68-70 B body convertibles. Here are the numbers I have handy:

~11 of the 68 Coronet R/T convertibles had them.
~10 69 GTX convertibles
~10 69 Coronet R/T convertible
~13 69 RR convertibles
~1 70 R/T Convertible

So if you found one, you found a rare one.....

I've owned 3 70 Satellite convertibles, all originally bench seat, none had shoulder belts. I imagine the shoulder belt has to be anchored on the top of the seat back since there's no other point high enough. Even then, the top of the bench is pretty low, even for a shorter guy like me. If someone 6ft+ tried to use it, I don't see how it would be comfortable or even functional. If it was on bucket seats, they are definitely higher, but how does it mount?

I don't have one and im trying to find one. Thank you for your post as now I know they do exist. As I said the passenger side has the male part of were the belt would latch into but the drivers side does not

Perhaps for center passenger on a bench seat or buddy seat.

Probably a little more than you'd want to do but it was a solution for me. And yes, I always wear a crash helmet when I drive my car...

Your picture explains it clearly. I don't think they would be comfortable, especially for taller people up front. Looks like the belt coming from the back seat would cut into the neck and shoulder. I like Coloradodave's setup. Double safety with the roll bar and 3 point belt. @coloradodave Are your rollbars custom made?

Had a 70 440 Challenger RT rag top with no shoulder belts.....

Purchased from ChassisWorks without rear bars welded on. Added straight rear bars as it's a convertible.

We’ve been trying to acquire the hardware to repop the vert shoulder belts.. FYI, rear shoulder belts for verts were available as far back as 67. Mainly C bodies and B bodies. We have two local 67 Hemi GTX verts and both were optioned with the shoulder belts. They had the broadcast sheet to prove it.
