I would be tempted to run a ground cable to engine block as well so not dependent on the body completely

The plan is to use a groundstraps similar to GM cars where they attached it from the firewall to the back of the block ;-)

Remember the Gen 3’s have a ground strap from one head to the other in the rear.

Made some progress with most of the wiring under the dash and installing the dash along with all the AC ductwork. And put some fuel in the tank so I wouldn’t accidentally run the in tank fuel pump dry. Hope to have it running in 3 or 4 weeks.
Thanks
Pat

Don,
It helps that the new AC box is considerably smaller than the factory box would’ve been.
The button in the glove box operates the remote battery disconnect in the trunk.
Thanks
Pat

I used Matt black vinyl to cover the silver insulation (recommended by others) then started to install the new headliner. This is the fourth car I install the headliner on, and it seems to be getting a little easier ;-)

Pat I have a couple questions on the headliner install. I have done a few but never seen one like this 68 charger. The boards you put on the B pillar are on the underside of the headliner. How about the short rods on the B pillar. Mine were left attached and I cant figure out how they come out. And there are slots in the headliner for these. Don't the boards cover these. Also on the front by the windshield are clips for the trim piece. Do these need to come out as well? If so I cant seem to get them out. And can they be reused or are new ones needed? Sorry if this sounds dumb but I haven't seen this type of set up before.

The short headliner rods on the b pillars get mounted just above the black cardboard panel look closely you’ll see an indent I the picture. And for the trim clips at the front you’ll need to use a screwdriver in the center to pry the pinched clamp apart that will allow you to remove the clip. Looking at the picture below you’ll see I have them installed and I use a pair of pliers to pinch it back together spreading the ears out inside of the roof.
I hope this helps!
Thanks
Pat

Thank you Sir. That does help. Most I have done had covered sail panels that go on the outside of the headliner. So I assume the headliner then glues to the cardboard panels? Again thank you for the help. Your car is so perfect I cant think of better advise than from your expertise .

I’m not sure how the factory applied the headliner to the cardboard, but I do know that most of the original cars always have a wrinkle on that B pillar. I decided to make a template of the package tray and fabricated two small aluminum strips that I used to screw into the package tray holding the headliner taught, that way I would not have to worry about the glue failing and allowing the headliner to wrinkle. You can see the aluminum strip that I painted black in the picture below.
Thank you, and good luck with your project!

Could I bother you for a pic of your pedal linkage? Im adding HB to mine and it looks like im going to have to lengthen the linkage and am worried about changing the pedal ratio.

Mike,
With the height of the intake on this Gen 3 hemi I will have to use an aftermarket linkage as well. I have yet to install it but I found that lokar has a very similar cable end to the Chrysler so the connection at the pedal will be the same. I will post pictures after I do the install which should be in the next few weeks.
Thank you!
Pat
