trying to find a reasonable priced headder for a 62 dart is like pulling hens teeth ,how much power loss will i have if i use stock log manifolds on a mild flat top solid cam low lift motor. build will be 516 heads clay smith solid low lift high duration cam flat top pistons with 2 afb,s and most likely a electronic dizzy

I know they are pricey, but the repo Max Wedge Manifolds are so cool on a 62. I also agree with using 67-71 HP Manifolds.

yes thats true, im down sizing the motor in the car from a 500 max clone and going to a 383 2x4 using the old direct connection nhra build as a guide and believe me those elephant ears weigh about 40 lbs each

Baaaab! See if Chris has the 2" TTI's that were on the 440 I sold him out my 65. Maybe get a deal on them? They were coated in and out.

You haven't seen my build thread? Here's the Dougs 452 on my 440. They fit like a glove, the black paint is holding up after two years. I did have them on for the cam break in and had to touch them up right at the head. I spent the extra and don't regret it one bit.

For just over $500 you can get the Dougs 451 for the B block.

Buy once, cry once. And you really cant go wrong with the Doug's...

I looked at the Dougs for my 74 Charger, but summit only has them fitting through 72, not sure why they wouldn't fit 73/74. Anyway I went with TTI's. Awaiting them to arrive now.

On my old 440 in my 63 Sport Fury I ran 1-3\4 Headman headers and they worked good. I believe they were only around $300 dollars but I have not priced them lately. I know they are much cheaper then the 2" TTI headers I run now. Just thought it may be something for you to consider. Good luck with it. Ron

I went with the 1 7/8, but only because I didn't want to wait a month to get the 1 3/4. That was the wait time according to TTI. They're on the car and look great. Trying to figure out a hot condition on the highway that wasn't there before the headers, but will figure it out.

Ive had quite a few sets of headers to inludes Dougs, Hooker's, Sandersons, etc and I have never fit as well as TTI or even Schumacher
