71 Charger Concealed Headlamp Door Closing Speed?

Didnt know how else to title it....First time ever using these. Had the car 15+yrs. They are a real clean original set that I just gave a quick.scrub with hot water and dishsoap. A shot of WD here n there and manually open and close them through the years. Manual knob works VERY nice and smooth as does the motor. They do drop quite fast though when I turn the lignts off. Is this normal or just typical wear n tear??
