69 Charger. 426 Hemi. EFI E85

For exhaust, I bought a "stainless" system from ebay a while back. It's not stainless and not entirely sure it was made for this car. Had to cut up every part of it to make it fit. Used some 3.5in bends from the headers, reduced to dual 3in near the crossover. Pypes "race pro" mufflers (which despite their name I find to be quiet), and stock style tips from Accurate exhaust.

All coated in the same finish as the headers.

Also made some brackets to mount the Spal fans to the radiator.

Nailed it.

Made some pulls with it today. You can see the hood/shift lights come on at 7k. I pulled to to 7600 (current rev limit). It probably needs to rev to 8k but I'm just going to leave it as-is for now.

Dyno graph was a bit of a spike at the end, it's more like 595 but with 4.10's it just rips on the street!

So much fun, I love the rpm.

Was doing some research on E85 for a friend and found your build thread. This is one serious car and I agree with those who complimented your skills (and your garage!). Congrats on finally getting to "fire her up". Sounds and looks awesome. As someone who always tells people I have a "go" car, not a "show" car, I would describe your car as both. Gonna be a fun ride and definitely fool some people. Watch for the authorities, this thing could get you in trouble fast. Consider taking it to SEMA? Did you name her/him? And keep us posted with future updates when you have time.

Thank you! No I wouldn't take it to SEMA, to me it's a pretty basic car. Don't get me wrong, I love it but still leaf springs, steel wheels, stock-ish appearance I think would be out of place there.

how much for the F355?

nice rides all

Thanks, that car is a keeper.

Thanks. There was no wheel well modification. There are very slight rub marks on the rear inner wheel housing and outer wheelhousing where it has a bump in it but not enough to mark up the tire.

245-60-15 and 295-50-15

Rear 15x10 5.5" backspace

Front 15x8 4" backspace
Are these the Wheel Vintiques?
Any issues with the dog dish caps?
I read the reviews on Summit.
I bought the same 15x10's and was going to run same size tires, but the Cooper Cobra GT's, I'm debating on the front size, 15x7 with 235/60-15's or 15x8's with 245/60-15, any issues with the front wheels rubbing?

What frame connectors are you using? Have you seen Chris Birdsongs extended version? I like the OE look holes in them.

Hello. The issue with the dog dish caps is the black paint was not adhering correctly. Otherwise they are good.

No issues/rubbing with the front wheels/tires.

I didn't mention it before but the car was rear ended on the way home from tuning it on the dyno.

It's now better than ever, many panel gaps/alignment issues corrected along with the entire car blocked out perfectly and repainted. :)

Picking it up from the body shop today and will start work on re-installing the interior.

For the dog dishes, use model paint. It flat out works, also use a pin stripping bush or needle (drug style).

^ I'll try that.

I'm liking it with no stripes or R/T emblems. Think I will leave it like this for now.

Finally got around to finishing this up (just installing the interior) but very impressed with the work of the body shop.

The cars body lines used to be a bit soft and not aligned the best. They made it so much better, couldn't be happier. :)

^ I would. Tried looking up a local mopar show I've attended in the past (thought it was Lake villa or Ingleside) and so far have not found it.

What do you plan to attend?

Very minor things but ordered some floor mats from Legendary a while back and today received them.

Don't really understand the fitment for "4 speed" but overall think they are nice and the color match is great.

The tires I had on the car from Diamondback were modified BFG radial T/A's. Marginal for the soggy 426 I started with and useless now after the rebuild.

I bought a set of Avon CR6ZZ's from Sasco Sports and sent them to Diamondback to be modified for redlines.

I struggled with going with a larger diameter wheel/tire as there are more high performance choices but after much deliberation decided I liked the old school look of 15's with more sidewall.

As a comparison, the BFG is an all season radial with a treadwear rating of 400 and an S speed rating of 112mph.

The Avon CR6ZZ is a radial road race tire with a treadwear rating of 80 and a V speed rating of 149mph.

Working on some new wheels but will probably take a while.
