My daughters heart

I have no experience in that area. But I have a 19 year old daughter who survived cancer as a young kid. My only advice no matter how grim the news seems to be. Keep positive. Speak health and healing over her. Never let anyone speak negative over her or around her. The power of life and death is in the tongue. We get the things that we confess. So speak life. Prayers for your family. May God be with you
 
Prayers for your daughter and your family. Definitely see another cardiologist and one that isn't buddy of the first.
 
My prayers to your daughter and family. I would educate myself with this condition and course of action. A second opinion from a Cardiologist is always a wise choice. If they're telling you the same diagnoses and recommended procedure listen to them and get her the help she needs. God's Speed! 440'
 
I was diagnosed with SVT when I was 14 years old. Did not bother me much until I reached my early to mid 40's. Found out my thyroid is junk and doesn't really work much. I have to take a pill for that. With that being said, Hypothyroidism is one of my contributing factors, also if I am dehydrated or fatigued that will cause it to act up. It seems to come and go in waves with me, act up for a few weeks to a month and then nothing for 6-8months, weird. They have prescribed a pill for me called Flecanaide that makes it get back into a normal beating pattern. I take it if I am having an episode that I can not get stopped. As others have said get a 2nd opinion to be sure and then see what options they give you. I will tell you it is scary when it is happening, and when it is happening the only thing that matters to me is trying to get it to stop.

Thank you all for the prayers and advice!
Ive given it to God and truly beleive He will take care of her. She has gotten close in her walk too but she is still learning to fight the thief... she is scared and her mind is full of what ifs which is wearing on her.
Shes in the middle of her clinicals, she sacated if she misses one she will be dropped from class.... Nothing I have been able to say has offered any comfort.
She is healthy, not overweight, pretty active , a typical yeenagers diet, no caffine other than a tea or latte every once and a while, no drugs or meds, doesnt smoke and is just a beautiful kid that brightens up any room she walks in...
 
My sincere prayers for your daughter, she overcomes this and will be fine, healthy and happy. May the Lord touch her with His healing hand.
 
Mike ALL THE BEST for your daughter! We're both sharing a ton of worry pard; my daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer two weeks ago and we're running through all of the tough ordeal she's going to face in the coming months. You got some good tips and info it seems here viewing the posts.

Sorry to hear about your daughter as well, I promise to to keep her in my prayers!
The toughest part is seeing our children suffer physically and emotionally. Its pure evil!
I pray that they come out stronger than they did before any of it happened!!!

Mike , sorry to hear about your daughter’s health issues, there are worlds best heart doctors near us , us only the best for her ! Second opinions work ! I have a highly rated one ! If needed, but Medical Center , like Methodist Hospital, is the top one in area! Go their , not locally ! Find the top of the class students!( Doctor )

I also took Flecainide before the ablation. In my case, I believe mine was triggered by alcohol sooo I had to have the ablation!

That's sad to hear

hopefully, it is treatable

(did she just have a vaccine or especially the second shot ?
some of that type/s of stuff is related to that, nowadays,
especially in teens)

I was misdiagnosed by a HS team dr. (football)
as having high blood pressure as a teen,
when I had no signs or symptoms of anything, I felt great
(15 y/o sophomore in HS)
they had me on some HBP & water pills
& the pills really messed me up, like no energy, dehydrated & weak etc.
when I was fine before them

This went on for a couple weeks, I complained, to no avail
& my dad said:
"**** it, we will go somewhere, get a real expert diagnosous"
I went to cardio & pulmonary specialists
& they said;
"I had nothing wrong"
after I had to go thru a ton of tests, treadmill, breathing
pulmonary & heart stuff, to rule everything out
(I was like 5'10" & 180#'s as a sophomore, in prime condition)
I had (IIRC) 120 over 70 after all said & done
"I was healthy as a Clydesdale"

(my dad does/has a history of heart issues now, 50 years later
he had a quadruple bypass at 81 (?) & valve replacement,
from 60 years of alcohol abuse, it really didn't/doesn't run in my family
his org. personal Dr. for 40+ years, never caught it either :realcrazy:,
remember;
many Dr's are just people mechanics, they can misdiagnose **** & do
all the damn time)

The good 2 specialists & cardiologist said;
it may have been just, that I was overstressed
more than normal that day, doing the exams
hernia BS, grab your balls & cough routines
I never did like them damn exams

get a second opinion for sure

tell her we are thinking of her
wish her the best

I had that procedure about 7 years ago. They tried to get it from one side,but had to go in from the other side to get to the right area to get to it. They go in from the groin area. Mine was a six hour operation. A few days later I was fine. My heart rate was 213 beats per minute for almost 45 minutes,I thought I was having a stroke! She should get through it fine.
