what brand of gauges do you use

i need to put gauges in the charger ( oil, water, volt ). i need a set i can see, getting a little older, and dont see as good as i used to.., any suggestions ? maybe something with a light up needle that i can see?

I looked at the digital gauges, i like the idea, but am hesitant , i still like mechanical gauges for accuracy.

Can't recommend a brand, but I'd recommend analog gauges w a stepper motor. They show a much more steady reading. Digital will fluctuate up n down by small increments which gets annoying see the minute fluctuations.

Discussing extra gauges or replacing any dash gauges? I added an oil pressure and vac gauge in a console I installed. They're VDO and work fine; but I went with an electric oil gauge with a dual sender to keep the idiot light not wanting an oil line running inside the car. Installed a tach where the clock was in the dash. This one I'd have preferred be larger or larger numerals; but the opening restricts anything larger.

I use a mixboxle of several brands. Got a couple autometer monster tachs, a VDO replay that I LOVE, some sun, some vdo, some autometer, some Stewart warner. All gauges, mechanical, all work fine.
I've also used a Jones Motrola/Moroso mechanical tach. Great nostalgia piece, but not nearly as functional as a modern electronic.
My advice? Buy the plainest, least "busy" gauges you can find, as big as you are comfortable with, and mechanical because of 270° sweep, instead of 90° sweep electric. 270° sweep is MUCH easier to read. But Black face, white or silver, is up to you.
And try and find gauges with a relevant range. I don't need an 11,000 rpm tach, if it will never see 6000, I don't want a 300° temp gauge, if it will never see 230 before I shut it off.

I have the Autometer Z series because of the black face and the orange needle. It kind of matches my dash.
Autometer does have the Mopar licensed gauges

No, just dark down there. Accelerator pedal is almost right up against the hump.

I upgraded to 2 5/8” diameter gauges so I could see them. I’ve used both Autometer and SW.

I think the last gauges I bought were as basic as you could possibly get. I had a white face vdo replay tach, and the car already had 2" holes in the dash, so I bought some 2" white face autogauge units, (autometers cheapo line). Mechanical water and oil, and a voltmeter. Never had any complaints, quality was good, visibility OK, never leaks or failure in a nine second bracket car.
I'd buy em again....but 2 5/8. The 2 inchers are around $55, the 2 5/8 are around $100 for the three....
