Decoding and rebuilding a 727 trans

I will apologize in advance if I'm in the wrong forum. I recently bought a 727 transmission, I was told its for a diesel which is what I need. I have a 1967 Kaiser Jeep with a 727 mated up to a turbo 4BT. I'm looking to learn more about this transmission so I can get the correct rebuild kit. The number on the side starts with a D but its a smaller font than numbers. D 53008539 0673 8206 is the number on the trans I just bought. Any help would be appreciated.
