I’m at the Holley Moparty in Bowling Green KY with a sick fish. We trailer my buddies barracuda here from Minnesota. I’m all off the trailer and started it up, heard a bad tick and shut it off. Turns out the broke the cup off a push rod so we are urgently looking for a 7.310” ball/cup pushrod.

Does anyone know of a speed shop in Bowling Green, Kentucky that could possibly have one? Or is there somebody we can call that will overnight them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not much help here, but who assembled the pushrods? Was the adjuster loose?

The jam nut was tight on the adjuster, not really sure what happened. It’s my buddies car and he had it at a speed shop for dyno tuning before we left. When we unloaded it off the trailer there was a discernible tick so he popped the valve cover and discovered a cup broken on the rocker arm end of the push rod.
We trailered from Minnesota to Kentucky which is all of 800+ miles and it’s really stinks because he can’t run the car.

Edited to correct fucked up talk to text…

Can you post a closeup of the broken area of cup. Sometimes the issue is no one put a chamfer in the rod, creating a stress point to crack. If that was the case, I'd be weary of using those at all

Having some sent NDA - crisis averted
Glad you got it worked out. I have a friend there that is putting his blue 68 Hemi roadrunner in the show. If you have a minute stop in and check it out. Awesome car.

or the 'ball adjuster' is sticking out too much,
too short pushrods etc.
usually more then like 2-3 full threads showing, out the bottom
it starts to starve the rod/cup end of oil it needs

been there done that, unfortunately,
with some ductile iron DC/Crane adj. 1.6:1 rockers like 2005-ish

later (like 2010-ish) a few,
that had a bunch of bad batch of their adjusters too,
was a nightmare for many
it wasn't just DC, MP or Crane's fault either, bad from their national suppliers
they made it good though, not without some damage
I caught all mine quickly, switched over to rollers
