many of my cars are converter to roller cams, and oil changes on them still are not cheap when using synthetic oil.This just made me think to factor in cost of high zddp oil as a factor when choosing flat tappet or roller. $100 oil changes get old pretty fast.

Someone previously reminded me that I do not have a dial indicator.Big block Mopars are pretty straightforward to rebuild but you’ll need to get your hands on some specialized tools to do the job correctly. Top of the list is a decent torque wrench. You will also need a ring compressor, feeler gauges and a dial indicator is useful for checking crank end play, finding TDC and to degree in the cam. Over the years I’ve accumulated a drawer full of tools used almost exclusively for engine building, although I have gotten by with much less…
