I ordered a set of crower flat tappet hydraulic lifters and all looked good except for this one... the bottom face has a weird maybe machining error or something on the outer edge on the 5 o clock position in this picture. i already reached out to them but they won't get back until monday probably. what do you guys think of this? would this be a no go to run?

You don't need pushrods to check for spin. Light coat of lightweight oil, drop the lifters into the bores, mark a top edge with a sharpie and turn the cam over by hand by the sprocket. The lifters should spin in their bores and not stick.

Are you talking about the slight indentation on the lifter edge adjacent to your thumb nail? It looks like a small chip. If the cam you are using is designed for the 0.842" Chebby lifter no problem. What are the cam specs?

If the cam is designed for the Chrys 0.904" lifter, then you should check it; because the lobe goes right towards the edge of the lifter.

Set it a piece of glass or known flat surface make sure it rocks slightly all directions. I can’t see the blemish on my phone.
