starter hitting the block help

Ok I have a 68, coronet converting it to a 4psd
Have motor an trans in car went to put the starter on before I put the headers back on an its hitting the block, need advice
What I have
10.5 bell housing an flywheel
Factory cast bell housing(65 )
383 with 23 spline trans
Mini turq starter( an I can't rotate it to clear)
Any help with mods you guys did or different starters that have worked with this problem an pics if you got them

My mini looks similar, but the positive post hits the block,does your starter clear the block
With the 10.5 bell housing?

When I put my mini on my HEMI I had to do a little grinding but it was no BIG deal. Let me see if I can find the pics.....

Search online for mini starter issues. A lot seem to modify the cable post height and possibly grind a little off the block in extreme cases. Check some threads in the forabodiesonly too.

Thanks for the help, I just read the dodgecharger link an that guy was having the same problem
They cut the post down an ground some of The block so looks like thats what I'm gonna have to do. Thanks again

Big block & small block have different part numbers.
