On my 74 Charger should I rebuild the door hinges or buy new ones made by AMD which are made in china. The old hinges are not that bad. Has anyone rebuilt theirs?

I used to just put in a long bolt that was slightly larger than the pin.

This last time I used the re-pin kit that came with brass/bronze bushings.

The wear pattern was such that I didn't even need to drill out the holes, but I did have to trim the bushings to get two of them in.

Kit was $5.

Bolts like I used to use are $1.20.

New hinge is $70 each last time I checked.

I will always say to rebuild/repair original OEM unless it's just plain ridiculous to do so. But then again I have machine tools so can get away with fixing a lot of stuff that would otherwise be impossible.

do any of you guys know why the springs pop out of the hinge ? I noticed mine is missing and the door seems to open pretty far (1973 Charger)

71-3 is common for the pin to break sending the coil spring a sailing. 74 they went back to the S spring which is better design.
