I took my road test on a 1969 Norton Commando, wish I still had that bike . Owned two Harley's also , quit riding about 7 years ago , figured done it enough and thought a cell phone might get me killed.

1973 350 Harley Thumper. Italian. Took my foot off a peg and failed the first time.

79 Honda cbx. Not a good choice for the low speed obstacles.

71 Honda 350 SL in 73. Had a 71 Super Beetle at the time but took the bike if it wasn't raining even if it looked like it was about to. Yup, I learned to really hate that damned POS Bug....

1967 Triumph
No obstacle coarse back then. They had you drive around the city parking lot on the outer street, using your hand signal at each stop sign. Then when you intered the parking lot you did a figure eight as small or as big as you wanted.

In January of 1973 at the ripe old age of 16, I took my mc test on a brand new Hodaka Wombat 125 enduro. Had a bike liscense ever since.

Late 80's Yamaha FZ750. My buddy bought it new as a leftover, busted up his shoulder and gave it to me to use for the rest of the summer with 1,500 miles on it. I gave it back at the end of the summer with about 4,500 miles on it. He was not impressed haha

I never took a test. I had a 67' BSA Lightning I road on base with in 1971 in North Dakota and was never stopped.(I never took it off base) I got to my next duty station in 1972, in The canal Zone, and got a CZ drivers license for the military vehicles. I told them I had a 73' CB 750 Honda as well. (I did) so they added the endorsement.
No questions asked. I had forgotten about that after all these years, until this post. My buddy who was a door Gunner on the UH-1N had a 500 Suzuki Titan, and he rode with a Vietnamese license he acquired while stationed at Cam Ranh Bay. Those were the days!
