Murderer only has to serve 12 before he's eligible for parole??

And I thought our laws sucked in that area.......

A 26 year old illegal alien from Afghanistan was convicted of the rape and torture/murder of a seventeen year old girl in Finland.

Ramin Azimin came to Finland as an illegal alien. Under EU law, Finland had to grant him temporary residency and consider him for asylum. His application for asylum was rejected in early 2014, but he was never deported.

Seventeen year old Jonna briefly dated Azimin. After she she broke up with him, he kidnapped her. He tied her up. Placed her in an outhouse, and set it on fire. Azimin told the court that Jonna had committed suicide by burning herself alive.

He was convicted on November 26th, and sentenced to what is referred to as “life in prison” under Finnish law. However, “life in prison” only means you will spend the rest of your life on parole. Azimin will be eligible for parole in 12 years. Most people convicted of murder in Finland are paroled within 15 years.

better than here in canada. My uncle was murdered by two men. One served 2 years (because he confessed), the other seven. It was 1st degree too

My ex wife's father was murdered in front of her,her mother, & toddler baby sister. Shooter got life,only did 13-14 years even after threatening the family during sentencing. Good job Illinois !

I have a hard time reconciling some of the above sentences. The guy in Finland should be executed - but I know how liberal the Scandinavian countries. Look at that mass murderer in Norway - I don't think he got more than 15 years. It's sickening. I'm all for the ultimate penalty for,the ultimate crime. Civil rights be damned in cases where it's cut and dried...... That sounds unamerican but I'm just plain fed up. To think these terrorists would get due process and maybe be jailed for the next 30 years before being executed makes me want to puke.....

If you kill someone you should be killed horribley not a nice poisoning or elc chair ,they need to tie these guys/girls up and firstly the victims family gets first dibs on what happens to them then after that they get drug behind a truck across countryt till there nothing but a smear on the road.
We could save money by dragging muti killers behind a truck instead of one at a time
I'll volunteer first shift for driving the trunk we deff will be going off roading for awhile too.

An eye for an eye is the org statement we need to go back to the old ways things will fix themselves in no time

Why pay per view. If they were terrorists we could just sell advertising on commercial tv. Then do the same - have the majority of proceeds donated to the appropriate causes. I'm angry and want something to change. This is horrible when no one is safe anywhere anymore. They got what they wanted - shouldn't we return in kind. My morals don't allow me to act as they do - but I will do anything to protect my family. Stay away from my home....... You won't leave happy...
