Anybody going? Just finished up with some PM and pre-tour inspection before we head out.

I went on the very 1st one {Power Fest to participants 1995}
LA to Chicago Route 66, I unfortunately had to leave early,
stuff happened back at my business, I had to cut it short...

It was mostly old muscle-cars then & just a few newer cars then too,
a bunch of stuff/cars etc. I didn't consider really Hot Rods
by any stretch of the imagination either, but still cool...

They had great food & events thou...

I will go again too, only IF it ever comes back to the west coast
as the final destination or starting point...
They seem dead set against coming back here, so probably not...

Have fun, I know I really did, but it was a while ago now too,
make sure to take extra everything you may possibly think you may need &
belts hoses tools ignition parts plugs lots of $$$$ too...
I spent well over $10k in 9 day for 3 people, a real adventure
me my GF & Pops, the dog we, but we all stayed in the Motorhome,
spent the $$$ on fuel for my RR & RV, events, food, RV spots/parking BS,
drinks, souvenirs etc. & I didn't even finish the trip itinerary,
or let alone buy all the stuff I wanted to either...

Thanks for the advice! I almost have the trunk full and I'm not finished packing yet.

The Lamar Dixon expo center in Gonzalez, LA. is where the Power Tour kicks off this year TODAY with a car and vendor show from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. To top that off, the Mopar Collector's Guide magazine (MCG) that I subscribe to is having an event at their office in Baton Rouge which is only about 20 minutes away from Lamar Dixon. Gonzales is about an hour away from my house. So today is going to be a good day! I've never been to nor seen the Power Tour, so I'm really looking forward to it. Anybody else going to Lamar Dixon or the Mopar collector's guide event today?

Lamar Dixon show was good. Lots of cars! Typical south Louisiana summer thunderstorms (twice). Vic Edelbrock signed a picture of my engine bay (440 6 bbl)

Does the tour hold a block of rooms, and various hotels along the way, or is it just up to the individual to arrange accommodations ? I'd like to attend one, but this one started and ended just to far away.
