I listed a set of bumpers here on the forum, and I sold them to partsmonster.
It took me a few days to ship them out, I tried to box them as well as I could, put each in a box, and then all of them boxes in another box with padding, and wrapping.
a week later the bumpers show back up at my door, I let him know they had been returned and I unboxed them (they had been all the way to Nevada and back) and then checked them all out and then reboxed them over but then we had some weather (blizzard a few weeks back), so another week goes by, and I have the heart attack and then finally with a little help from a couple friends they are back on their way. OR SO I THINK. I get an email saying he hasn't received them, we check the tracking and now the tracking shows them sitting in one spot for 2 weeks, so of course the buyer is pissed off, and I think if my entire project being finished and me driving my car rested upon a set of bumpers I paid for a month ago not being on my door step, I would be pissed too!!!
Now It looks like they are moving again, I called the post office twice, and waited on hold for 2 hours, and they promise me they will be back on track shortly.
I thought it only right for me to offer to have the shipper return them to me and refund his money so I did that through messaging and want to do it publicly, I am only selling a few parts so that if something happens to me someone can be enjoying this stuff, I paid more to have them refinished (I believe a 3 piece 70 coronet set with bolts costs me $850 to do my parts, not counting what the parts cost or are worth, and I sold them for $600), I just want everyone to be happy and I hope this works out, and wanted to publicly apologize and state my case, it was my responsibility to get the parts to him and I dropped the ball. I am sorry for that. Thanks, old, slow, bob
