I listed a set of bumpers here on the forum, and I sold them to partsmonster.

It took me a few days to ship them out, I tried to box them as well as I could, put each in a box, and then all of them boxes in another box with padding, and wrapping.

a week later the bumpers show back up at my door, I let him know they had been returned and I unboxed them (they had been all the way to Nevada and back) and then checked them all out and then reboxed them over but then we had some weather (blizzard a few weeks back), so another week goes by, and I have the heart attack and then finally with a little help from a couple friends they are back on their way. OR SO I THINK. I get an email saying he hasn't received them, we check the tracking and now the tracking shows them sitting in one spot for 2 weeks, so of course the buyer is pissed off, and I think if my entire project being finished and me driving my car rested upon a set of bumpers I paid for a month ago not being on my door step, I would be pissed too!!!

Now It looks like they are moving again, I called the post office twice, and waited on hold for 2 hours, and they promise me they will be back on track shortly.

I thought it only right for me to offer to have the shipper return them to me and refund his money so I did that through messaging and want to do it publicly, I am only selling a few parts so that if something happens to me someone can be enjoying this stuff, I paid more to have them refinished (I believe a 3 piece 70 coronet set with bolts costs me $850 to do my parts, not counting what the parts cost or are worth, and I sold them for $600), I just want everyone to be happy and I hope this works out, and wanted to publicly apologize and state my case, it was my responsibility to get the parts to him and I dropped the ball. I am sorry for that. Thanks, old, slow, bob :BangHead:

Wow...a heart attack, and your more worried about getting a car person their parts. You're a good man Bob. Sounds like you stayed in touch with the buyer AND gave them the option to back out when there was a SNAFU with the USPS. Hopefully partsmonster is understanding and appreciative of your honesty. I know I am.

You are a good man to admit where you made mistakes and for trying to fix them.

Partsmonsta is a fair dude I think he will understand

you sound like a straightup guy,
and you making this topic only makes me think it even more.

very ironic how you try to take the blame for Ups messup.
im convinced former football players work there,
as some of my boxes resembled a full team tackle aftermath...

Best wishes on a Full recovery.

Ita just a much my fault, not sure why this box was so hard to send, it now says

The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date. An updated delivery date will be provided when available. Your item arrived at our JERSEY CITY, NJ 07097 origin facility on April 6, 2017 at 7:35 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

it took them from march 21st to april 6th to get 1 state away? Something is going on, the first time the box went to nevada and came back to the local post office, I don't know why they are doing this, its not like I wrote the wrong address it is a printed label from the PayPal transaction.

I hate getting worked up over this stuff but I can't help it, I used a friends PayPal account to take the payment and they helped me ship the boxes, but that is the LAST thing I sell that has to be shipped, I think its a way of god telling me I can take my parts with me when I go and not to get rid of them.

thanks for the kind works gentlemen, I am so upset that this couldn't go smoothly, my wife says I am bored and want something to get excited about, because I was screaming at the phone, the post office had me on hold for 109 minutes, it was on my cell phone when they finally answered, they must have one person answering the phone for the entire country, 109 minutes, and then she had the balls to tell me "try calling back when the package hasn't updated in 14 days!!!!!!"
I am not exaggerating I literally got a sharp pain in my skull followed by a migraine headache as soon as she said that.

This package was $100 to ship, not like its a $5 package who cares, I paid twice to ship it because I had to fill out paperwork for a refund for the first time which i will probably never get back.

This is the situation from hell, worse part is a friend of ours is driving to the same state these are going to next week, I should have had them take them and drop them off in person.

Your a good guy Superb Bee

Superb Bee. You've had a rough spell. Your a good guy and very knowledgeable.

I've had some serious run ins with my post office. When I buy things on here I try to remember to request that the seller uses UPS or FedEx.

Whether it's a personal thing with my post office. IDK but they mess things up for me 50% of the time. Certified letters, packages from my Mopar pals, magazine subscriptions.
I gave up complaining to them. So don't feel bad, the Postal System sucks
