So whats the deal with weld thru? It totally messed with me on plug welds. I've read this and that, but folks say it should work. Didn't work for me....totally blew out the outer layer of metal and messed up the welds.

Did this test piece and the the half with primer turned out slightly better, but still sucked, the 4 on the other half were clean metal. Look at the penetration on the back. I know your suppose to turn up the heat some but **** just blew up more.

I was using some spray bomb NAPA zinc weld thru primer.

i use this....... works great, even better if you let it dry thoroughly......try to find a quart, if you buy a gallon break it down into quart cans, you will have a life time supply..... anything else is a waste of money, especially if it comes in an aerosol can

I havent noticed any problems, car is mostly complete now, But Khryslerkid video I liked, hadnt seen it before and Ive welded it sprayed top, bottom and elsewhere

I noticed the Ghouls were using a copper weld thru primer, way more pricey than the products I can afford

I tried the copper spray stuff let dry overnight, caused the weld to spatter a lot like the metal was dirty, wasn't impressed, hope it does its job, made mine harder.

Eastwood has bloxide in 12 oz spray cans at $39 + shipping. Amazon, bloxide $110 a gallon shipped.

I bought my gallon through Granger...... not sure if it was the cold, or air in the can; but I had an old gallon turn into jelly sitting on the shelf........ that's why I broke my new gallon (over 2 years ago) into quarts....... gave a quart to my buddy, still have a full one in stock..... I keep it in the house where it wont freeze

the aerosol is a waste of money

Mostly agree aerosol is expensive but for a person who only does a small job it might save a few bucks. Wish I had a body guy that lived near by.

point taken....... I only wanted to buy a quart at a time but could only find gallons (had purchased quarts previously)....I've only gone through 1 1/2 quarts in almost 3 years and have done a couple of very big jobs
