Have you ever found a die cast car that matches your car?

When i owned a Purple, white interior, 1971 Hemi GTX 4 speed car, the "Johnny Lightning" company turned it into one of their little die cast cars.
The picture on the packaging was used that a professional photographer took of it, that was used in an issue of Hemmings Motor News magazine, Muscle Cars Of The 60's & 70's, back in the day.

I had no idea what Johnny Lightning was back then, until a friend of mine called me up on evening, telling me he bought one of those little die casts, at a hobby shop in one of the San Francisco bay area cities.
Then as far as the photo goes, the photographer owned the rights to the photos that he took, and must have sold the picture to Johnny Lighting to be used on the packaging.
I do remember signing a release statement with the photographer stating that the photos were all his, or something to that affect.

First, that's about as cool as you can get.

For anyone on Facebook (or may be even just google) look up your car in diecast. He builds exact replicas of your cars

I found one darn close from supercar collectables. Bahama yellow a12 runner, black interior coupe. Mine is a bench seat, column auto, model is 4sp bucket seat.

I have some for most of my cars. I use them for key chains. That way if someone breaks into the Chicken Coop, they just have to go to the key cabinet and pick the car they want. Haggerty takes over from there. (disclaimer: if somebody wants to steal something, they will) P.S. Of course I have some surprises for the would be thieves.

I found one very close, so I took it apart, painted the interior white, and cut the top off. Ahh. At Last nothing but sky overhead.

My first attempt at a Mopar was a 1970 Road Runner, Ivy Green Metallic with black interior. This was what I was going to make it into. Mine was a coupe (same color) with a black top and ralleys.

I’d love to find a 1:18 of my 64 Plymouth. Don’t think they make them in black with red interior :(
