69 Super Bee Rebuild (my way)

That stripe color combo looks killer Elk. You definitely did the right thing ripping off the old stripe, as much of a PIA that it was. Glad you will get your money back.

PG was even @ prompted here in your thread by a member before you even contacted them and no response. Another seller only, with no commentary..

I know, crazy huh? I am a small business owner and would never dream of treating any of my customers like this. Word of mouth is tremendous advertising, and best part is that it doesn't cost anything. I can guarantee you that my few posts on this stripe issue will cost Phoenix Graphics a lot more in sales than what it would have cost to set things straight with me in a timely manner. Or any manner as far as that goes.

I hear yah.. I've been building airplanes for 27 years, haven't ran an advertisment in 17 of those and I still ship parts (and sometimes full aircaft) world wide.

You are out no $$ from us as you contested the charge and we are not fighting it. It was purchased during COVID time shut downs when we had very few staff at the office and our sales person dropped the ball.
And speaking of Phoenix Graphics. I will post this here as well as the other thread I started asking opinions on the 2 companies.
I left 2 voices messages and 1 email with Phoenix Graphics just asking if someone could contact me because I had some questions about a rump stripe I purchased from them. This was over a period of 3 days. No response. On the fourth day I ran across another phone # for them that wasn't listed on their site. Called that at like 7:00 pm expecting to leave another message. Was surprised when somebody answered the phone. The guy was nice, said they sell piles of those stripes and have never had anybody raising a concern with them. He asked me to send pics. I did, along with pictures of Wayne and Darrins cars showing how the Bee logo and lettering should set level as well as the correct spacing between the circle and the reflector opening. He said he would look at them right away the next morning. Never did hear back from him. Sent a follow up email asking if he wanted the stripe back that I tore off the car. Still no response. So the next morning I contacted my credit card company to file a dispute. They reversed the charges and if PG doesn't respond to Chase within the next 2 billing cycles it will be over and I will only be out what I paid to have the stripe installed.
So long story short, I really don't care if Phoenix Graphics is a sponsor here or not. I am stating the facts that they make an inferior rump stripe for 69 Bee's. Also their customer service flat out sucks. A guy shouldn't have to go through a credit card company to get a problem rectified, and I will still be out money. My guy also said that the stripe from Phoenix was either a poorer quality vinyl because it was much rougher after installed than PCG, or it was sitting on a shelf for awhile. He also had a lot harder time getting the backing off the PG stripe which would point to sitting on a shelf to long.

Thank you for your response. I feel I need to clarify a couple points for future customers however. I do realize that the virus has complicated matters. I made every attempt to be timely with contacting you about the issue. I left 2 voice messages and 2 emails over the course of a few days with no response. When I did finally get ahold of you, I was told that I should send pictures and they would be looked at the next morning by you. The next day ended without a response. Once again, I sent you another email. No response again. At this point, I felt I needed to contact my credit card. More than a week later, after you received notice of the dispute, you finally got ahold of me. For the record, at this time Phoenix did offer to make a new stripe with the logo positioned correctly. However, at this point, I had already ordered, received, and had a new stripe installed from Performance Car Graphics. So this kind of puts it in perspective as to how long this was drug out. While I do appreciate you refunding the money for the inferior stripe, you are incorrect in stating that I am out no money because I did have to pay an installer to do the job twice. I hope if nothing else comes out of this, that at least you check how your Super Bee rump stripes are layed out so others don't have this same issue. I am done with this stripe thing now and am moving on to other projects.

Pretended that I was a painter yesterday and got the rear reflector housings painted white to match the stripe. PPG Shopline JAU 882 Valvoline single stage is a pretty good match for you guys with white stripes.

Also got enough balls to turn the key and start it up this morning. Knock on wood, so far so good - no visible leaks. I wasnt going to add any accessory gauges in this car, but changed my mind and ordered an oil pressure and water temp to hang under the dash. Guess I have got used to being able to check the precise numbers with aftermarket gauges in my other cars. Should have them in a couple of days from Summit.

I did the same, I added oil, coolant, and trans temp.

Sprung for a couple of Autometer mechanical gauges and got them installed.

And the best news of all is that it made it outside under it's own power and drove up and down the driveway a few times. Absolutely can't stand the brakes and believe there is something wrong with my 15/16" master cylinder. I'll have to give Cass a call tomorrow and get a different one bought.

NICE! Well other than the brakes. Was gonna get mine out for a drive today, but looking like tomorrow now. First time ever that I'll be legal driving with an expired sticker! LOL

That new stripe looks beautiful. The white goes perfect with the car!

I hate bad customer service to a point where I'll avoid a place with good products. PG dropped the ball, glad you got your money back. Sad that PG sat back and made you work for it.

I hope you get the brakes working. Wish I was closer then I could give to a hand looking at them.

What's up with the mc? I ordered a 15/16 also.

Thanks. I think black or white would have looked good with this color, but I am very glad I went with the white stripe. I think it stands out more than black would have.

Yeah, I can't stand companies that think they are better than everybody else. I won't even consider looking anywhere else than Performance Car Graphics for any future stripes or decals I may need. I am out what I paid to have it installed, but thank God the clearcoat didn't come up when I peeled the bad stripe off.

I am convinced that I have a defective master cylinder. We have bled 2.5 quarts of fluid though the system and haven't gotten any air out since the initial couple of times. The pedal is firm, but it is almost at the floor. Always in the same spot. Never changes from sitting or pumping the pedal. Tried this morning and its impossible to lock up the wheels when moving.

Is it possible that there is air trapped at the top of the caliper? I had a car once I couldn't get a solid pedal on. I took the front calipers of and put the bleeder at 12 o'clock and got some air out and solved the problem.

I bought the calipers from Cass. They are the ones with 2 sets of bleeders, and yes I am bleeding out the top one. I have the rear drum shoes adjusted so there is a decent drag on the wheel (to much imo for once it is on the road). I then set the parking brake and figured that should eliminate any issues in the entire rear system. When like this, the pedal operates exactly the same as before.
